Although it is an innovative idea, it is a totally unfair "race." Too many variables/odds at play here, including huge differences in altitude, wind speed, rain, and other weather factors.

@Eric Adae Agreed...I can understand many are desperate for live athletics but this competition was pointless. Also no atmosphere in either stadium. I didn’t bother to watch the ‘race’.

I thought this was a great idea when it was announced. I thought they would be on the same track at the same time like how the team track cyclists compete. The race was not fair...too many differences from altitude to wind speed etc. Should of waited until after Covid.

I don't think the difference in altitude and weather can account for 13 seconds so I would say the norwegians deserved this win. The kenyans probably haven't been training as hard during Covid.

Dont get me wrong a respect Jakob massively i have been watching the series Team Ingebrigtsen since season 1 and like the fact that Jakob said at a young age he will be one of the best in the world and at 20 he is well on the way there. But for now the level of Timothy Cheruiyot is just that more.
