yes you are right. but dont simply things here. the 'thing' being discussed here is how many Yun players can do well 'big' combos and cannot do the same with some other characters due the different frames variants/ timing and etc.... some people just dont accept that.

It looks like that is certainly possible, but Xian would definitely adapt after a few losses, so it might've gone either way (7-5, 7-6, 5-7, 6-7) in a pure Ryu vs Gen set.

If you score high enough, you get seeded, which works like any regular seeding for major tournaments. In that way you're guaranteed not to have to fight through the group stage, and get knocked out early iirc.

its actually a known fact that yun is overpowered not because of his easy combo timing, but the simple fact that many of his moves were pretty safe, his recovery was fast and well, damage was decent. that's the area where he's overpowered in. its not about the number of hits dished out. basically boredness is saying that yun is overpowered but not in his easy-timing combos.

finally someone agrees with me without being scared of being criticised. Yes, after the patch(had his wings trimmed you know). Cammy is hard as nail! and Viper, she is difficult but it is not everyone that can play well with her, so we are safe.

in the top 16, xian's gen won daigo's ryu 2-1. in the grand finals, daigo's ryu won his gen 3-1... but because daigo only used ryu when xian was winning 6-2, so daigo couldn't afford to lose a game with ryu which unfortunately happened. so going by this logic, daigo's ryu won xian's gen 4-3. that's why i strongly believe that if daigo used ryu at the start, he would have won.

finally someone to argue with dignity. YOU can do combos with many, I also can. But many Yun players find it easy to do combos with Yun cuz it was designed to be easier in that way. It doesnt make Yun unbeatable,but def makes someone play at a level that usually they cant with other characters.For example, the trials,I M DAMN sure that many of us even me, sought on youtube how to finish it cuz: timing didnt connect(Honda,Blanka,Viper).AlthougYun has no trials to compare,but see,not every1 get it

a combo.they didnt learn the correct timing and distance of their favourite character.SO they will get STAGNATED!Some players asked me while my BP points are suddenly high and my PP points went down.I answer that PP is showing how powerful a player is while BP is the experience time using that character.But what i usually dont answer is that i have tried not only win PP but instead i work hard on combos etc and little about 'grabbing for winning'.When you grab too often,you miss the chance to

You have no idea what you are talking about. Yun was not GOOD in AE -- he was broken. He raped a large portion of the cast effortlessly, which is not the case for any other character. He was not nerfed to the ground in 2012; he's still a solid character. Yang, on the other hand, was nerfed too hard. He wasn't broken in the first place either.

Is it really a 1-frame link? When I tried to learn Gen a while back I thought it was surprisingly easy and could hit it pretty consistently. I find it easier than Rose's cr.LK cr.MP link and she's my main. :S

i play yun and i can do any combo possible with viper or seth or e ryu or any of those difficult characters, so no that is not true. also dont think characters are created by single persons, its a product of the company so they have regulations and a design to which the programmers have to stick, so very likly did the persons who designed seth,adon,gen viper and so on also work on yun. also you dont know alot about yun it seems, he has hard combos too.

did you see Xian's face after the first round? DEJECTED! we try so hard to do a little combo,then Yun has an 10 min long combo..how happy can you be? It's like the gief and t.hawk: you just have to be jumping, spinning the joystick and press the 3 punches and that you go!...you have a kill! and worse is,players like this thinking that they rock!oh come on!how much work some characters need?endlessly hours! while others just have to mash the crap.so,i think it's fair to respect great players.

Players are free to pick whatever works best for them, Kazunoko's Yun is better than most Akumas/Cammys because he makes it work, learn something please, SF is about skill, I mean, of course matchups are a part of this game, but stop making it look like it's the most important thing.

i dont see that cuz most of the Yun players dont have the (i said many not all) the skills to do combos with many other players that require different timing (frames) for combos. like Seth, Gen, Adon, The office worker, and some others. Check the level of accuracy of those doing good combos with Yun and check them with Viper ,or these characters above. The programmer who designed Yun designed it for noobs feel like combo kings...when they cant get right the other characters.
