Some fans of this series have noticed, Each of the teams mercs seem to have slightly different personalities to better difference themselves, BLU Scout seems to be a hardcore furry and brony judging by the posters he had in his room, while RED Scout isn't for an example, RED Engineer seems to be more, i guess insane? ect. so on and so forth.

that "obscure Star Trek reference" that "is the same as Medic's", is indeed an obscure Star Trek reference. specifically, The Next Generation's season 3 episode "Night Terrors" featuring the juiciest close-up of Marina Sirtis butt ever. a Federation ship was found adrift with all it's crew having seemingly slaughtered each other in rage. the only survivor was a telepath, who was left in a coma, so Marina Sirtis's character Deanna Troi was trying to mind-meld with the guy trying to find out what had happened. in that mind-meld, she's seen as Medic in that first video: floating towards two stars, with creepy voices calling out to her. when we first see Soldier here, and the TV goes out into static, he plays another reference: Michael Winslow in Spaceballs going "sssssssssssssssshit" as his radar screen shorts out. I'm sure there's a ton more down the line.
