Using a steel cable to winch is ultra extremely dangerous. It stores energy like a spring. So if it breaks, it will release a lot of energy, easily decapitating people.

Job very well done next time your in mud like that try using SNOW SHOES ON THE MUD. My dad worked on the Alaskan Highway in 1942 and equipment got stuck similarly they used the Snow shoes in the mud it worked.

Yes :o) The really annoying part (for the plant guy) is that recovery probably cost more than a decent length of tow strap that reached the moxy and kept the high track on firm ground. And I bet they still don’t buy one :D

So I'm not really familiar with Strayan work agreements but how does anyone accept a job with a time limit and if that time limit isn't met no funds are exchanged? Given the circumstances here of several hundred thousand dollars of equipment parked in mud, that job is going to take as long as it takes and cost as much as it costs until extraction expenses exceed the value of the equipment and the fines associated with environmental damages.
