The teams are categorized into three character types, Speed, Power, and Technique. Cream wouldnt really fit any of those three types and if she were to replace Vector that would make a mess of the type order for the team because she wouldnt be a power character

Grew up with Sonic Heroes so I love all these characters! I'm so glad I have waited any and all content waiting up until the day of lauch. Because when I picked it up on the 21st it was definitely worth it watching the cutscene in real time for the first time on that day were the game released. The song - "Green light ride." Is easily now one of my new favorite songs from Crush 40 and I'm so glad they've returned for this game. I'm glad I finally got back into the Sonic series as of last year because this game was definitely worth it. Anyway, I find it so awesome that my three favorite characters in the series: Silver Blaze & Vector are all part of the same team! I find it interesting that Vector is the leader it just feels so fitting. I absolutely love the part where they get the spotlight and take out Doctor Eggman and his two robots! I was smiling and laughing while watching that. So very cool! ( Fun fact: did you know that Silver Blaze & Vector all have Yellow Eyes? >3
