Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Nelly Korda, Tommy Fleetwood, Collin Morikawa, Charley Hull, and Brooke Henderson step up onto the TaylorMade Tour Truck to talk with Brian Bazzel, VP Of Product Creation to hear first hand how the engineers at TaylorMade were able to achieve a goal that they have been trying to reach for a while, the goal of making a driver with 10K inertia. Listen to the video and watch how the pros react to the tech behind the Qi10 Driver that they're swinging out on Tour.

Thanks to Tiger for his patience with "classroom talk". The longer we see Tiger in videos and on the course the longer we enjoy the game. All of us who grew up watching Tiger win and jumping off our couch and spilling our drinks at the bar watching his incredible shots are still pulling for him to get that major win. Cool to hear the engineering behind clubs. People can listen to them talk about the engineering and physics of a club and tell if it is for them or not. Most athlete focused golfers “not talking about most pros” , this kind of information probably goes in one ear and out the other. But for an engineer minded golfer/club fitter this information is great! Better marketing than “this hit ball good” you give the how, why and what we are doing to improve upon. Anyways back to hitting my ping G2 because I’m more like bill Murray on caddy shack than Tiger woods and don’t need anything of this caliber But cool video 😂😂

The naming convention still needs work. It sounds like a 3rd party driver from the early 2000s. Plus, when next years model comes out, are they going to name it qi10 2? They have a problem with just adding "2" for the next model. The decals for this driver do look a lot better than the stealth 2s. So im glad it looks good, at the least.

It would be nice to see the MOI published for the LS head model as well versus the stealth LS in addition to the screw weights used in the back of each for those MOI readings. Can you publish a view of the MOI 19 mm off center hits that shows all the variables and the entire club? From a marketing POV this clip is persuasive, but how much improvement year over year are we really talking if you look at all the empirical data? More importantly … show the dispersion of 20 shots from a stealth versus Qi10 with same shaft and swing weight. If it’s so much more forgiving it should have noticeable and significantly tighter dispersion. People don’t know what “10,000 MOI” means in a practical sense. They just think the number sounds twice as good as the drivers they hit in the early 2000s. But what has their dispersion change looked like over the years? We’ve plateaued because there’s not much left to do with today’s materials and tech to shift get weight and the center of gravity without compromising structural integrity. You could buy this $700 dollar driver or you could just add a few grams to the rear of your your current driver for the same MOI effect. Show me practical dispersion improvement then we’ll talk. My 2008 Nike Sumo and my stealth plus fitted with the same shaft and swing weight perform very similar for me on the launch monitor, just a bit spinnier head in the Nike 20 year old model but it was designed to be the MOI head of its day not the LS version like my stealth plus. With new driver prices it’s just like the annual iPhone upgrades. Use what you have until it breaks then go get a fancy new one or a used one, they’ll both get the job done.

Question is - Do you give up MOI for more distance when you do hit it flush like in the "Stealth" driver or do you give up a couple yards for a higher MOI as in the "Qi10" driver? I feel more consistent flush hits with the Qi10 driver would give you a better all around game. As long as you're not sacrificing a huge amount of yardage. I know I would love to hit more center on the face, but would definitely take more consistent ball flights over big yardage. Interesting video. Thanks for sharing
