There's something that a lot of people overlook when they make blanket cliche statements like that and that's natural ability. If you got no coordination, no natural athleticism, no flexibility and you swing a club like C3PO there's no amount of money or lessons that's going to make you better. It just goes to show when people say stuff like getting lessons will make you better as a blanket statement how little they understand the game of golf. Buy a nice shiny new driver if you want and enjoy it. Let it be a talking point with your mates on the course, hit the ball into the trees and go looking for it with your new driver and when you're enjoying a drink and a sandwich after the round enjoy reminiscing that drive last week you hit with your new Stealth driver.

And why the analagy of Bryson.... it's his job and he plays at the highest level. And I'm not talking about myself when I say no matter how many lessons one has they won't get any better. I have plenty of lessons throughout the season and I benefit from them. But some people just don't. It's like if you can't dance you can't dance. Natural ability..... And the R15 was 7 years ago now. Probably age catching up that you don't carry the Stealth as far as the R15. I don't hit the ball anywhere near as far these days as I did with my Tour Burner . I was lot younger then.
