The USA team haven't competed at the Olympics since 2008. Now they've asked for help from of famous robot dancer Chadd Smith (aka Madd Chadd), with the aim of developing a synchronised routine to surprise at the World Champs and book a place at Tokyo 2020.

As much as I enjoy this sport, a "robot" theme is a perfect fit and not as much of a stretch as others describe because so many routines are fast moving and dense to get more in a limited time frame. I wish there was a requirement for a certain amount of time to be slow moves because combining fast and slow provides more variety than only fast-moving hybrids and figures and arm movements.
