Bboys of now are missing power moves. They are missing the turtle variations, windmill variations, downrock, and some other stuff. The emphasis is more on flares, air flares, headspins, 2000s and all the feet above 45 degrees moves.

the koreans have this smoothness that connects their moves and makes it all feel like one dance rather then a bunch of individual tricks connected by jittery movements. at the same time, the usa team has a power and concussive energy to their movement and they have a good ability to have force when they do opposing movements like moving down and then moving back up again or what have you.

I remember I really got into Breakdancing when I was in the 7th grade... By the time I was a Freshman (1984) I could do almost All the "maniac" moves (Didn't do head spin > didn't have the neck for it.) My favorites were the "Spider" & "Knee Glyde"... I was very popular at the dances (especially after my "Electric Boogaloo" routine - lot of "Waveries", Body Poppin', & Robotix) & was able to dance with the most beautiful/popular ladies after I performed... The hardest moves at the time were "Windmills" (No handed) & "Megawave" ("Caterpillar" on back > kick up - roll back -repeat...) Breakdancing no days has a lot of gymnastically based moves that look Really DIFFICULT !!! ... It has come a LONG WAYS !!! :D !!!

Redback Breeder Koreans care more about dynamics while USA cares more about footwork and other things, to you it might look like Korea is better just because they can do cool dynamic moves, both countries have different standards I guess

Redback Breeder Plus, of course Pockets gonna be better at those kind of power moves because he’s short and has a lot of upper body strength so it’s like the only thing he does

Reading the comments is why Breakin' in the Olympics is gonna be a challenge. Team USA was controlling the beat and had mad variety of uprock, footwork, freezes and well timed power moves but the Koreans had way better air/power moves and decent foot and uprock. How do you judge?
