ooh, a weird mix of characters with new synergies to explore? this is what this game was made for! I wouldn't have thought Frank would work with these two, but... well, you proved me wrong. it's obviously not an optimal Frank setup but any team that has multiple paths to level 3 or better with reasonable resource cost is workable. and workable is what counts. I especially love the Maximum Spider into Survival Techniques for the camera shots or extended combos. that is very sexy.

@@OneHeroes just about every video you put out makes me want to mix Spider-Man into some of the teams I've had for years and tinker around. every single time I have to remind myself that I don't have the time or patience to invest in a single character in a game I don't really play anymore. back when I was really active like ten years ago I *knew* there had to be more to Spidey than players were demonstrating. wasn't able to watch that evolution in real time over the years but it does feel good to know that I'm vindicated, so thanks for that!

I don't think this game has combinations that doesn't work well, everything can work if you practice enough.

@ yeah, everything can functionally work if you force it hard enough, but in high-level play a team's innate synergy can make all the difference in the world. there's a reason you don't usually see competent players run Vergil and Phoenix on the same team, and it's because they're both very meter-hungry characters. they just don't play nice together. a badly matched team of high-tier characters will often get completely stomped by teams of well matched low- or mid-tiers. synergy is important.
