I don't know why this videos doesn't have 1 million views! This is SOLID info. I guess people want to see Bradley Martyn squatting on a Revobot or a segway instead of getting knowledge. Thanks Berto!

I'm excited to follow your contest prep. I really enjoy your positivity, maturity, and rational approach. By the way this series complements your goals well, i.e. motivates you and others (goals 1 and 4) and appears to have inspired others (goal 5 and 6).

I'm back with the nitty gritty as usual. Interested in your thoughts behind placing one high day on a rest day & whether you find it more logical to put the rest day one 1st or 2nd?

Why do we have to turn everything into list. There are many different errors people commonly make, and sometimes its even that they think they are grinding hard enough but they truly aren't

Sorry, but I fail to see the motivational aspect of Guzman's videos. Eat power crunch bars, chick fil-a, drink a dozen white monsters, drive the ferrari to buy skinny jeans and insert the same boring training footage. Did I miss anything?

I love diffetent aspects also.. like in music like in everything... you have 3dmj and layne norton which are intelegent, raw, smart, detailed... you have those few fancy dudes like guzmann and chewning, you have old school comedy like hodgetwins.... crazy fucks like delray misfits.. few competitor eaters... everything :)

You need Chef Tina to come by & do your meal prep for you so you're not living off canned sardines & 7-11 foods. Srs,wanna plan to come out & squish Paul and Hayyyyy's face. Since we're all dieting, I think it would be fun to go on hikes, train @ Raintree & have home cooked meals.

Aren't you supposed to not-deload on a diet ?
@fdu67 жыл бұрын
Ematuresco why not? It's even more important
@Team3DMJ7 жыл бұрын
So you are supposed to deload less during a time that recovery is more erratic then ever? Think about that one for a second
@Ematuresco7 жыл бұрын
Well actually yes, I could quote Lyle, Menno, Alan etc. but let's try to give an explanation by myself. If you deload, you're not training, if you're not training(hard enough) you're not sending the signal, to keep the muscles - high protein doesn't do the trick all by itself. Of course you get tired physically/mentally from training on the edge at some point late(r) in the diet (=weeks on). If you need to deload => do a diet break, as to get your hormones up and recover much better (tendons, muscles due to higher kcals) without the problem of beeing in a kcal deficit without training - you cannot argue with this argument, now can you ?:)
@DRVFTAthletics7 жыл бұрын
Ematuresco there is plenty of research showing that even NO training for a week won't cause atrophy. Nevermind deloading which is still a stimulus, but more so to keep neuromuscular pathways stimulated to not feel so 'out of it' when you're back. Honestly you can think to yourself that one week of a relatively smaller percentage of stimulus will NOT affect your physique as much as getting to the point where you don't want to train at all. All the sarcoplasmic volume (if any) that you lose from the deload will recover as soon as you get back to normal loads. It's a marathon, not a sprint.
@Ematuresco7 жыл бұрын
Eck. you basically said the same as I did. LOL .. More seriously my point was not what you wrote about...I said the same. My point was why not take a diet break, to be precise : No training + maintenance calories all together, both will surely be better than staying in a deficit and deloading on what kind of fashion you want (reduce load or volume or not train at all..). If it's one week, why not do the best to recover hormones and muscles. cheers
