It is not tethered, it is wireless! Look up the definition of what “tethered” means.

Does it work with an iPhone 7 and an IPad 8 generation which is WIFI ONLY? ‘cause idk if I should get the IPad Wi-Fi or the WiFi+ Cellular. I’d use data only for emergencies and mainly use the IPad at home where I have WiFi. If the hot-spot works Idk if I should spend more to get the Wi-Fi + cellular. Hope you answer xx

Hi Stella, yes it will work with iPhone 7 and iPad 8. I've done it with an iPhone 6 and iPad Air 2 and that worked fine. I have a wifi only iPad and do the hotspot as and when because its mostly at home on wifi....❤️

Hi Gary, you only need the phone to have a phone number. The iPad I used here is WIFI only, hope that helps..
