Forgot that some smartphones or iphones also have data saving options or limits to keep from going over data limits or warnings when you approach them. And also app can have data saving option like Spotify or Netflix. Plus some cell plans have unlimited but can slow it after a certain amount used. And last using things like opensignal to find out where to place and what position to place your phone to get the best signal and speeds because some time where your phone is can slow your data.

If your other devices are connecting to a Wi-Fi connection, do the same by locating your mobile hotspot. Just make sure it is visible to all devices. For more help reach out to your service provider.

Wait a minute...when you're out and about and have no access to WiFi (like you do at home) you still don't need a hotspot feature (aka hotspot data) on your phone plan to access the Internet (i.e. to play a KZbin video, browse a website, etc.) because you have your cellular data on your plan, right? I am referring to accessing the web using your cell phone! Oh wait, unless you're referring to using a device like a laptop to WiFi connect to your cell phone acting as a hotspot (phone is basically using using the radio cell signals to the cell towers to provide Internet access).
