@@rvwtrvps760 It depends no a few factors, but even then only the Unlimited versions are under threat. It'll likely have a separate set code to distinguish them, but even if it does not, then there are differences in general card format, PSCT compliance, the Copyright line changing from Kazuki Takahashi to Studio Dice and Konami, and a changeover from Magic Cards to Spell Cards.

Alec tossing basically his entire hand and field into the grave to summon and protect Berserk Dragon is peak anime BS and exactly what we're here to see since we sure as heck never saw it back in the day on the playground! And the fact that it STILL wasn't enough to keep Berserk Dragon for long is hilarious. Thanks for making one of the best series' on this horrific hellsite. It's really a genuine source of joy whenever one of these appears in the ol' Sub Box. Hoping you will all have a very healthy, happy end of the year

I'm playing Magic the Gathering and came here because of the mtg card rating video with the professor. Although I don't play Yu-Gi-Oh! I love watching these episodes where you just crack open a display and play with the cards. No sick combos I wouldn't understand, just simple gameplay. Really good job guys!

@@thekillers1stfan He had Archfiend solidier and Gagagigo and still run Jirai Gumo. Paul has Giga Gagagigo and still runs Patrician of darkness. Other things that don't make sense. Alec has cyber, painful choice, wave motion cannon from previous packs and does not run them in his deck. Having wave motion on the field for a few turns could win him the duel.

So a couple nitpicks Kycoo cannot banish a monster it just attacked as the damage happens before the monster hits the graveyard. Also Paul repeatedly overlooks the fact that Bait Doll shuffles itself back into the deck.

Dark crisis was one of my favorite sets! The chess piece archfiends, the guardian weapons, and the Final Countdown! I ran an exodia/stall deck at the time and won so many playground games with Final Countdown and Exodia Necros

Bait Doll was such a fun card back in the day, because you could have removal that didn't go to the graveyard, meaning that when you use a card like Pixie Knight, you can ensure you only get back something pretty OP. Mentioning because I saw it go to the grave, lol. Plenty of flubs in this one like that, but it's all in good fun.

That entire sequence with beserk dragon was crazy when you think remember there are no tutoring or hand fixing cards in that deck. Alec deadass just had an 8* he raw dogged out, the spell he needed, the beserk dragon, my body as a shield to protect it and happened to have a spell still in hand to negate magic drain. That's the most anime card sequence ive seen

I haven't played real life yugi or collected any cards a bit before the start of the synchro era, i remember vividly that those were the last booster packs i opened back then and some of these cards just somehow brought back the smell of the new cards even tho i havent touched any in almost 15 years. Thank you for those memories and that nice memorable smell that i just experienced again for the first time in over a decade. Love this series.

Bringing him down to 1250 by the time of Chaos Command. Which means he would have ended at 450. I know it didn't matter, but it def could have. Love the series guys!

Hey Paul (or any other TeamAPS members that respond): Rare Hunters was the reason why I subbed and to relive the nostalgia. Do you feel/wish that YuGiOh would have a Legacy mode in tournaments for those who love/are comfortable with older sets to be able to play them? Apologies if this question is moot as I don't know too much about modern game play or tournaments. Anything after Fusion decks (Tuners? XYZ?) I'm totally in the dark on. Legacy decks like this are right up my alley - straightforward and simple. Happy holidays!

There is a legacy mode in tournaments. It's called 'Time Wizard' tournament, and is an official side events in some tournaments. And then there is the unofficial but active and alive historic 2005 format called 'goat format'.

What would be interesting, is if you added in cards from the early structure decks that you already have for your rare hunter decks. Let Paul get the Yugi deck, sense he has a DMG, and have Alec get the Kaiba deck to get a third blue eyes

Do you guys think it would be beneficial to have somebody as a judge for these duels, perhaps as a stand-in for master Marik? I don't think they could have realistically affected the outcome of a game yet, but it seems like there are always some minor things going on that get missed, like Alec never paying the LP cost for my body as a shield or a few final countdown turns getting skipped. Loving this series regardless!

Okay as a man who has used Final Countdown **Surpresses the music in my head with all my might** I have to give Alec he almost won with it! Not an easy feat AND the man summoned Beserk Dragon something I haven't even done in a deck made for it for Duel Links! I am hyped at how much epicness happened! Hold you head up high, sir! Also Paul has pure class using my old pal Chaos Command Magician making so many of these early monsters fizzle or have to pick on somebody else and double that for using Great Maju Garzett! One of my favorite monsters of all time in both paper and DL for those short two years he was actually viable there. XD Just a great episode all together and it looks like Alec's gonna have to up his game and stop hiding behind flips and reanimations as they easily cost him the win this time because of Chaos Command showing up to out the famous Man Eater Bug + Tsukoyomi combo.
