Heart of Clear Water and Mist Body make petite moth indestructable by battle. They can be searched with Gearbreed, Hidden Armory, and Armory Call. Giant Rat is another battle searcher, maybe some generic draw spells like Upstart, Duality, (Extrav or Prosperity if you wanna break the bank). Unexpected Dai, Painful Decision, and One for One are also ways to get to petit moth, Sangan can search either half of the ""combo"", and Witch of the Black Forest is another way to find cocoon. Monster Reincarnation makes it less punishing if you have to set a Cocoon. As for Perfectly Ultimate... Resonance Insect I guess? Honestly thats the hard part.

@@DrJay1234 kinda. It requires you to use Zushin counters to place it on one lvl 1 normal monster. And the placement of said counters is a once per turn clause.

Ok I'm going to blow your mind, ready? Ok: Block Spider + Ultimately Mutated Insect Queen forces your opponent to use a Kaiju to break your board. Use resonance insect to get Block Spiders in play. Using the Bamboo Sword Engine gives you plenty of equips for Cocoon of Ultra Evolution, as well as draw power with golden bamboo sword and stun with Burning Bamboo Sword. Cursed Bamboo Sword also searches a Bamboo Sword card if you choose to Cocoon the equipped monster. Ectoplasmer makes it hard for your opponent to make boards, while you are content tributing Insect Monster Tokens, though this is the least important part of the deck and I'd understand if this is cut.

Honestly just run Bee trooper get resonance insect search for the great moth then get parasite paranoid equip to a monster get that monster in grave and boom you have summoned great moth If you don't draw the resonance insect or parasite paranoid you just need to use the inzektor link equip it from deck ultimate great moths super easy to summon in modern yugioh

I think a decent alternative is to allow for them to use proxy decks while the protagonist always has the same proxy deck but at a low level of power. That way Calvin can always have a better chance while Alec has a consistent deck as well.

I tried making Sophia Turbo with Salamangreats not too long ago and it wasn’t impossible but it took a bit longer than five turns There’s probably a better way to do it but Salamangreats have three out of four of the required monster types in their archetype so I just went for it

During the cyber strike structure deck tourney we had a small side bet going on to see who would be the first to summon the cyberdark end dragon.

I would recommend exodia necross as a summon challenge. Having all pieces is challenging enough, but the stages to summon necross require timing and precision.

With some modern support and exodia based modern cards it's actually not as hard as it used to be albeit not really worth it still. There's a way to use exodia boss monsters to send exodia pieces to the Graveyard every turn. And ways to send all copies of specific cards in deck to graveyard or banished status and then ways to get them back out. Just leave out the getting it back unless it's banished to graveyard. However the boss monsters are better then necross.

That opening from the anime just reminds me how easily the characters could’ve gotten out of difficult situations if they just played something like Raigeki or MST. There are cards like Exodia that are bad because of the ban list making the strategies you’d want to use for them unplayable, then you have cards like Great Moth that are just dead on arrival. Cocoon of Ultra Evolution helps a lot, but it also says a lot when a card needs support that was released later to even become viable.

I would have used Parasite 3 Paranoid and 3 Cacoon of Ultra Evolution. but If I was not allowed to use that, then I definitely would stock on Supply Squad (Draw Power), the Battle Insects (Special Summoning and adding), Verdent Sanctuary (adding and stacking cause if multiple are on the field it deck thins so fast), Pinpoint Guard (For Defense and stalling) and Michizure (Spot Removal WHEN plans do go south)

Not to be a stickler for details, but Paul said that PUGM was used in Duelist Kingdom. I'm probably wrong (and please correct me if I am!), Weevil uses PUGM in Battle City during his duel against Joey. Weevil uses Great Moth in Duelist Kingdom against Yugi. Again, not to be a stickler about small stuff like that but if anyone was curious, there you go! Great video, guys! Definitely made the work day much easier to get by! ♥️ PS: PUGM is harder to summon in Duel Links than it is in a real duel. (Please correct me if I am wrong, again!)

I was thinking this would be an easy challenge especially since there was no rule that Ultimately had to be summoned by it's own effect and there is a card that can easily make this work, but then as the deck was being built I came to the realization that nobody remembered Cocoon of Ultra Evolution, but glad to hear that wasn't the case and Calvin was trying to rough it by doing the six turns. For the next Challenge I say Mirage Knight or Zushin the Sleeping Giant would be fun to see.

Before the toon deck released, perfectly ultimate great moth was the backbone of my deck. I used a lot cards with high defense and magic/trap cards that prevented my opponents from attacking me or they boosted my cards defense. Once I had it summoned, it was unbeatable in a head to head battle. By the way, I like the shirt but Joey beat Marik fair and square, he was the best natural duelist in the entire anime.

Before the XYZ Dinosaur was summoned he had Cocoon of Evoltuion in his hand and could of easily equipped it to Petit Moth when it was originally summoned and left in defense mode at least for a couple turns before he summoned Utopia.

the released an quick-play spell that lets you summon ultimage great moth from your deck. i think its called 'super caccon of evolution' not a 100 percent on name but i know it ignores moths summon conditions.

Insect Barrier + DNA surgery to stall. Then Heart of Clear Water to protect petite moth from targets and battle destruction. Maybe Pyro Clock of Destiny to move the turn count forward 1 turn. That's what I would've built around.

I really think "Huge Revaluation" activated on field could be a interesting challenge, having to get 3 normal monsters with nothing in common and basically no attack on the field with the trap ready and then go on to win in the time limit sounds rough

I used to make decks to outlast, max number of cards in it, defense high creatures...then I decided to mix it up. I went with minimum amount of cards, the monsters were mainly effect ones, and the traps and spells were an even 10 to 10 mix. I used effects more and found I didn't win by default as much, and I dis actually lose more than the other deck style, but I had fun more often

So funny I been trying to learn about different decks since I’m rarely new to yugioh. I just saw a giant ballpark deck using this card the other day. With parasite paranoid. Crazy lol. My first instinct woulda been an Inzektor build with a way to get to Cocoon of Ultra Evolution. Set that up and boom, P.U.G.M. in possibly less than 5 turns.

You can do it in 2 turns if you do beetrooper resonance insect and paracite paranoid if you open with 1 or the other you can do it 1 turn but if you dont draw either of the cards takes 2 turns

I mean to be fair you did give alec here the super out with zubaba knight just screwing over pugm's normal way of being summoned, well assuming calvin was banned from using cocoon of ultra evolution to easily bring it out. Good on calvin if he was allowed to use it but chose not to so it'd be more of a challenge and same to alec for overlaying zubaba knight pretty quickly after bringing it out

For when equipping petit moth with cocoon of evolution i suggest zerozerock as it doesn't allow your opponent to attack your monsters with 0 atk

You should make him use the spellcounters but the not the penduluems the old school ones and has summon OG Endymion with his effect.
