oh you mean the Smash Up rip off WOTC came out with? The one where all the set focused ones are utterly devoid of any financial value? (the 2020 and 2022 ones being great though). The ones that are NOT 8 decks for 35 bucks PLUS special foil cards? should I go on? And the game night boxes? The ones that are 50 bucks for only five decks? Roughly half the value? And the dual starter decks? which a shell of weak cards and nothing like duel decks of old? Which even those weren't as good as this thing? No. No. I've seen tons of awesome and affordable yugioh products come out over the years. And compared to what we get in magic? It's tragic. WE DONT EVEN GET TINS! TINS! Pokemon and magic get tins! bundles are made of weak cardboard! they're even worse than they were years ago. now we dont even get 80 lands! we DO get a pretty spindown but that really doesn't compare to this battle city box! @@alexramos7708

Would let Alec build a janky red eyes deck! Also- I know you guys don’t usually do constructed games but the speed duel card pool is small enough and nostalgicy enough that I think people would find it interesting. Also, no one seems to do paper constructed games of speed duel on KZbin :’(

whether it would've mattered or not I'm not sure...but when Trell summoned Fortress Whale in game 2, technically I don't believe he could've done that, since Fortress Whale's Oath reads tribute monsters whose levels equal 7 or more...but due to Legendary Ocean the monsters he used equaled 5 not seven because it doesn't read ORIGINAL levels in the card text...Yugioh, where you take cards very literally XD love the video as always, love these house tournament videos

Good, so I'm not the only one that noticed that mistake :) Legendary Ocean seems quite anti-synergic with Fortress Whale, since it basically lowers too much the levels of the tributes compared the Whale's level

Just a doubt in Trell's play with the Umi deck: Legendary Ocean lowers the level of all Water monsters by 1, right? Fortress Whale's level was lowered by 1 by Legendary Ocean, dropping from 7 to 6, also the levels of both maiden of the aqua and the fish on his field (which were insect-type at that moment, but still Water attribute) should have been 1 lower (4 to 3 for maiden and 3 to 2 for the fish), making it a total of 5, so by this reasoning he shouldn't have been able to ritual summon, or am I wrong?

I love using voltage Kong. I have a lot of light monsters and usually attack with voltage kong and no other monsters unless it's not strong enough and I try to finish my opponent's deck with voltage kong and card destruction

I watched Duelist Kingdom and Battle City as a kid, loved it. Still got my Anime Decks for the Mainchars of these seasons. Love to play it with the old rules. Nice vid ! Honestly it would’ve been interesting to see the antagonists like weevil/Rex/mako/espa go up against the rare hunters in battle city. There’s no reason the rare hunters wouldn’t target regional champs or players who have been winning throughout the tournament

It was summoned several turns prior to that. It just means there's effectively no summon response window on it's normal summon, not that your opponent can never activate anything ever again.

Considering this set is called SBC1 it's likely they're saving that for SBC2. SBCB had the LOB DM and BEWD arts available as secrets but since Arkana was part of this it does rather make sense to keep the theme and just provide the deck DM as an alt art option here where BEWD would've been rather useless. I assume 2 will have a Kaiba Reloaded type deck for BEWD to make sense.

When Paul attacked Trell directly with Insect Queen, he shouldn’t have been able to cuz the effect where it can attack directly when all monsters on field are insects only applies to face up monsters. Since trell had a facedown defense, Paul shouldn’t have been able to attack directly

It's just an alternate way to play that we've been adopting. They actually mention it as an option in the paperwork that comes in the box! Both players use 2 Skills, it makes things more fun.

Good feedback! So, normally doing these house tourneys can be pretty time consuming. We only have one full setup that's got face cameras and the overhead camera, so we have to do each match one at a time. Trell and Larry especially are usually pretty tight on time (they're both fathers) and can't always stay all day. So this time we wanted to save time by doing both of the first rounds at the same time, which meant using a more traditional single camera setup. I was concerned that it would be a bit of a pacebreaker in the video, but it was just the choice we made this time.
