This is quite morbid, but I was badly injured in the London Bombings in 2005. I was 6ft away from a suicide bomber. As I was lying in the carriage, I was naturally quite delirious and started singing “Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life” quietly to myself. I actually felt guilty for a time after singing it, as if I was being too flippant towards the horrible situation. However, I realised it was lodged in my brain and I sang it to almost tell myself to calm down.

Whenever I go to an Iron Maiden concert, Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life is played from the PA as the concert is over. It's become the soundtrack to collecting myself from the show, sharing impressions with friends and slowly leaving the arena. It's a part of the experience.

Started planning my funeral a few years ago when I started dialysis because of a severe autoimmune disorder (I'm still young, this might take awhile). The version of this song performed at The Royal Albert Hall as the sing along (the "official" version on the Monty Python channel) was what both had me laughing my head off as well as making it the very first bit of things I had planned for what my friends and I are calling a death party. It's still a funeral, but it's also a small party to celebrate the absurd parts of life.

OMG I have been a Monty Python's Flying Circus Fan since I was a kid. My older brother introduced me to the skit comedy in the 70's and was an instant fan like at 7 years old. Watched their show after school and one night my brother told me they made a movie call The Holy Grail and it was finally on the late show on TV. We stayed up late and made home-made pizza and laughed our guts out til the wee hours of the morning. So many great memories and influenced our own sense of humor to this day. Eric, thank you so very much and to all the fellas on Monty Python I still love your shows and events you attend, I will watch your videos forever. Thanks you.

I must admit I did do a musical bit with my dad in a Chinese restaurant it was Eric Idles's I like Chinese!! I nailed Eric's accent in that one. We also impromptu played my dad on guitar and me singing in a planetarium playing the Monty Python galaxy song while the scope was moving out of the solar system into deep space the song and the graphics matched perfectly!! side note I studied the show 1 time before the impromptu concert but the fit was magical!

I tried not to laugh and nodded "it has a nice musical number in it" She came back a few days later mad as hell and slammed it on our counter and yelled "this movie is sacrilege! My husband of course thought it was funny, but this movie is awfully terrible and not funny at all" which I retorted "I take it your husband has good taste then" and she was too mad at me to retort and just left!
