ourcorrect opinions I'm intrigued: I'm going to guess you're not from the UK? I don't mind that in a negative/insulting way at all, either, I'm only asking because it took me a while to work out that to someone who's less familiar with the various UK accents, it might seem like David Morrissey sounds like Liam Neeson. The reason for my interest is this: Liam Neeson doesn't have an English accent... He has a Northern Irish accent. David Morrissey has an English accent, but more specifically, he's from Liverpool. The tone of their voices may be similar, the accents are very different. Am I only aware of that because I'm familiar with both accents?

Norman Reedus almost single handedly shaped Daryl into the character he is today. They wanted him to be more rasist and anti-social but he told them he wanted Daryl to be more ashamed of who he was before the apocalypse and to become someone that people count on. Norman Reedus initially auditioned for Merle but they liked him so much they made a new part just for him and let him give them feedback about it.

I've known David since he was 18 in 1982. He did a weird little show called Short and Curlies in the UK for Channel 4 about a young man who gets his foot stuck in a hole.

NEAGAN WAS THE NICEST BAD GUY IN THE SERIES, HE WASN'T RUTHLESS UNLESS HE WAS TRYING TO PROVE A POINT AND JUST WANTED PEOPLE TO WORK FOR HIM AND WOULD HAVE "HIRED" JUST ABOUT ANYBODY TO DO A JOB. BUT THE GOVERNOR WAS MY FAVORITE BECAUSE HE WAS RUTHLESS AND CUNNING AND LIVING A DARK DOUBLE LIFE BOTH IN HIS QUARTERS AND OUTSIDE OF THE WALLS OF WOODBURY AND DAVID MORRISEY JUST PLAYED THE PART SO GOD DAMN WELL!!!!!

Are you saved friend? If you died tonight will you go to heaven or hell? God Almighty, the Creator was manifest in the flesh. He came into the world to take away the sin of the world. He gave up his own life to save yours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for your redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. This is the Gospel which means the Good News. John 1:1,14 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [14] And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,

It's easy for Brits to do a southern accent for some reason. I dated a woman from Bristol that could do a Southern accent at any point. I still don't know how.
@Ortex31311 жыл бұрын
season 1 was great because it set the course of the whole show, introduced us to the characters, and shocked us with it's originality and brutality. it's hard to lose momentum in the first 6 episodes. season 2 was too slow, but it did a great job of building characters (Shane was the best). season 3 was too focused on Rick vs. Governor, but it was still a good season (Glen went ham, and Merle was a beast). season 4 is a perfect balance, and is just as good as (if not better than) season 1.

David Morrissey also played a character with a thick Southern accent in a Syfy movie about a small Bible - Belt town hit by the 10 plagues of Egypt. He starred with Hillary Swank who did this rational scientist character who investigated supernatural / paranormal events. The title of the movie eludes me right at the moment but David Morrissey / " The Next Doctor " / The Governor was reasonably good in it.

It's crazy how much he looks and sounds like Liam Neeson. I know Neeson is Irish and Morrissey is English, but still!

This show and many other mainstream movies in Hollywood proves the level and quality of talent us Brits have...you guys get us British lot to do true american voices..and we do it with ease and watch you fuck up the generic british one..
@CELT1CPRED9 жыл бұрын
1. Brits watch FAR MORE American television than Americans do British televsion. 2. British actors are absolutely better for the most part than american actors, I can admit that. But you can't admit you guys don't have an exaggeration to our accents. Whether it's Oldman, or Tom Hardy, or Liam, or Morrison, they round their mouths a little bit too much and it can sound unnatural at times. Not all the time, but it can be noticeable.
@E9oK9kMaV9 жыл бұрын
oh please, get over yourself. there are tons of big name british actors who suck at US accents. There are equal amounts of terribleness from both.

@Skyscraper12511 жыл бұрын
11STANE11 A large reason why GoT can kill off "main characters" (even though certain ones aren't so prominent in the book than the show) is because they have a great many grey characters. There is still the issue with that show though that certain characters, I.E. Tyrion, Jon Snow, Danny, etc - are all characters that IF they die - I'm sure they will do so far into the future or at the end of the series. So, GoT can do it because they have very grey characters but still have the minor forms of protagonists & antagonists. As well as George R.R. Martin has made these characters all not look perfect - some are hard to argue that they aren't inherently good people or inherently bad people. Look at Joffrey or Tywin and tell me they aren't two "evil" characters. xD
