I was expecting it to get great reviews, but the special got modest critical reviews and low audience ones. I'm guessing bc so many people just stumbled across it on netflix, but don't have no that much about the quirks of the band scene or musician issues they couldn't relate.

There is no such thing as suspended 9th chords. 9th chords already have the third present in them so do not require a resolution as is implied by a suspended chord. A "Suspended 9th" would actually be a sus2 chord. You can also have an add9 where the 9th is added to the chord (R 3 5 b7 9). He might have meant a #9 which is a dominant 9 chord with a#9.

I mean, this is troll comedy. People think the jokes are supposed to be the funny part when it's people taking the bait and getting visibly and audibly upset at something as trivial as not understanding where the joke is. These jokes basically need the comment section, and I'm in tears after scrolling down.

@Matthew M It's funny because it's funny. Go read your newspaper jokes, old man.
@sammy135_6 жыл бұрын
@Matthew M It's like a Norm Macdonald style of comedy, the jokes are trivial, or lame, but it's that very fact that they're so lame, that makes them funny, and Norm's style of comedy is no where near Hipstery. So as @Bonefish said, read your newspaper jokes old man.
@highestsettings6 жыл бұрын
@Matthew M That example of modern art you used works in the same way as these jokes. The main point of that art movement in general, is to make you question what art even is. It's successful *because* it's unsuccessful. It's meant to subvert expectations and make you look at things in a different way. The fact that you don't get these jokes is the point. I actually am a musician, I play the drums and the guitar, and I didn't find the jokes themselves funny either. I found the lack of humour funny. You're not supposed to laugh at the jokes, you're supposed to laugh at how you didn't laugh at them. If you didn't find that funny, then fair enough, but don't act like you're the arbiter of comedy. This style of humour isn't for everyone obviously (it's for drummers), just like how every style of anything isn't for everyone. Style and taste are subjective. Though it certainly helps you to enjoy a style when you actually understand it.
