Actually... In conservative Muslim families, it's the man who has to convert if he wants to marry a Muslim woman. And many have. If you think about it, it's more sexist because a Muslim woman will have less choice in marriage partners, as opposed to a Muslim man who can marry anyone of any faith. Applying that same logic to Judaism, the women may have more freedom to marry...also, isn't Jewish lineage matriarchal? About to do some online research...

Just letting you know, she definitely didn’t convert according to the Torah because she is dressed immodestly and that isn’t a Jewish thing and you can’t convert by taking tests.
@juliuspearson42025 жыл бұрын
its not tests, its courses, i assume to learn and to grow and to get used to having judaism around you at all times. its a common conversion thing. also you can amend to 'wrongdoings' and stuff. a rabbi once said that when you cut the connection to god, and knot it back together through repenting and growing it brings you even closer than what you once were
@charnagross43675 жыл бұрын
Amber Redd you can’t convert by courses either. You need to be immersed and when you convert you need to take on all the mitzvos (commandments). Also, it is forbidden to convert for the purpose of marriage. Also, abortions are forbidden. It’s possible that she converted through reform or conservative Jews, but that is exactly what it sounds like - reformed Judaism - it’s not the real thing.
@freeforest4 жыл бұрын
@@charnagross4367 ya tembelit. orthodoxy isn't "the real thing" either. what exactly do you think is the "original"? you think Moses or king David were wearing fur hats and saying "gut shabbos"? judaism, including orthodoxy, has always been characterized by change, transformation, modification. it's ironic that hasidic judaism is today considered "ultra-orthodox" by many, since it actually started as a revolt against the orthodoxy of the day. plus, Hasidism is only a few hundred years old. further, neither the orthodoxy nor the Hasidism of today are the same as what either of them were a few hundred years ago when the Hasidic movement was born. both of them have changed in that time. they both moved towards each other, so that today they are not really in opposition to each other, as they were originally. but they used to be very much in opposition to each other. that alone should be enough for you to understand that there's no such thing as "the original".
