Im also a fan of the "boom toad", as a DB Main, you dont have a good wake up move, but the toad explosion also gets doubles if the monster is sleeping. It will deal around 1000 dmg if your alone, whats pretty neat

Something really usefull that I found while playing is pressing the - button when ordering dango for level 4 bird caller. at level 4 it always doubles the effects of spirit birds. When hunting casually, epecially with dereliction or with friends, for the cost of the first 1:30 being spent you can easily get max everything. super convient especially for stamina heavy weapons. DB main

Ots really the best defensive option, to max out ur health with the petalace that gives you that super high health bar. That plus the full defense buff of +20 makes the hunts routinely much more comfy. Also the huge attack boost when it's full make chirp chirp my go to #1 dango.

For the palamute silkbinder, I've regularly had the issue where the palamute pulls it out when the monster starts falling asleep, and it auto attacks even when we have our weapons sheathed, waking up the monster.

I wanna comment to boost engagement but dont have anything to say so ill drop a tip that helps me: If you use the dango sets but still wanna see if a special dango is active without going through the extra menu (like the carving one or insurance) set them on the first set page and name it the skill! Theyll light up when avaliable so you wont miss em!

7:38 this confused me for the longest time and because I would neither stand on them, shoot them down with kinsect mark or kinsect itself or an aerial attack but we saw from the trailer that they can fall. took me forever to figure out only the Kunai can trigger them.

Son of a bitch! Unless I"m doing something wrong, they fixed this somehow and I keep getting the same results. I followed what TDS said, so they must have changed something. Edit: I was wrong fortunately. I was using a moon meld to advance the rng to try again, but it doesn't work for advancing the Anima RNG, so had to switch to using one Anima meld when trying again.

Another tip: For those of use who use lighter, faster, and not as hard hitting weapons: If you bring a cat with you and give them the Bombardier Cat's Secret Support Move, you can use the firework bomb as a wakeup attack. I've had it do close to 2000 damage on wakeup, which is way stronger than anything my Insect Glaive can do for a wakeup. Sure, the Fireworks are generally less useful than the Lotto Box, but I value the wakeup ability it has very highly, since I exclusively play weapons without a good wakeup attack.

The single most important thing I've discovered is bird caller dango used with skewers. At level 4 it doubles the effect of every spiribird you pick up. If you also run a spiribird rampage decoration, it has a chance to triple the effect. The long term time save from this is just huge and I will never not run it in the first dango slot.

One of the glaring weakness of DLSS for mhrise is that they remove the fur from everything. Although I have a GPU that is capable of using DLSS, I didn't turn it on for this game

You don't need Turing or Ampere series Nvidia Cards (2000 & 3000 series) to use upscaling, you can use FSR with any GPU, at least it is super easy to set up under Linux. Also, without any upscaling you can use the Rise Tweaks mod to further adjust the Image qualtiy, as between 100% and 150% there are no smaller steps, for example 125% looks pretty much identical but you get way more FPS.

I recommend you simply dont run dlss or any anti aliasing FXAA simply blurs the image, that's it TAA makes still-image look good, but moving image becomes "soapy", edges blur and wash away when you look closely DLSS does the same thing as TAA, at least in MHR, if anything it highlights the dotted shadows which look really bad Just run no AA at all, when you stand still it might look bad and jagged, but it looks the crispiest in motion, since your PC is not trying to emulate anything, it just displays the pixel it needs to, there is no wishywashy effect, you can clearly see everything while moving around

Something else interesting I noticed about the starburst crabs - if you don't have any elemental ammo on a bowgun, an explosive like wyvern ammo will give them a 'fire' attribute. Not sure if barrel bombs work, come to think of it.

In World, Wyvern Ammo did a tiny amount of fire damage as a second hit. GL Shelling is also partially fire damage. Idk about Sunbreak, but that might be why it grants fire to starburst crabs.

Wyvern's Fire does a little bit of fire damage, that's why. Blast powder also applies Fire to Starburst Bugs.

i played around with the dereliction-effect pretty much and i think its the best to use for ranged-weapon-player as i for myself as GS-Player think it is not the best for meelee. But still i have to say i had bloodlust as effect used at the same time so maybe it was a too risky set but i think with the qurios draining your life with the bloodlust effect kicking in and recovering the hole red bar it is a pretty good combination. but pretty nice video!

I've been using a dereliction set to boost the raw damage with GS and slotting in offensive guard. It makes the strong arm stance counter do insane damage if you time it right. Slot in one point of guard up and you can counter pretty much everything with strong arm, even a rajang beam.

They really need to rework this whole melding thing. If players are willing to do something as tedious as save scumming to re-roll talismans, there is a problem with your design. It's a bit of a problem if your end game is "grind to perfect your build" while "perfecting your build" is locked behind odds which are worse than your chance of getting struck by lightning. Perfecting your build is functionally impossible. Especially when you consider that there is more than one build that needs perfecting.

I don't even use status on my two silkbinder palamutes, they have a decked out ranged attack setup for me combined with partbreaker and the two of them are dealing more damage and flinches than most randoms I've played with in sunbreak

They absolutely should patch it because it's counter to the way they designed the game. What is the big deal if you can't get exactly the charm you're looking for? Is the game too hard? Is your build not strong enough for you to successfully complete hunts, but having just the right charm will be enough to make it so? I don't get why people complain about this. Skill customization in MH (apart from a few skills which alter concrete properties) is _literally_ just a highly granular, player-driven custom difficulty system. That is the _entire_ reason why it's in the game from a game design standpoint. I don't understand why people complain about not being able to make the perfectly optimized set when all that does is make the game easier and less interesting than more creative builds.

@@alondite215 It's because MH is a grindy game, these games are designed for players that like spend lots of time to get as strong as possible so you can see big damage numbers or complete difficult quests in minutes, or even get different builds that could be a META build or a meme build which purpose is to have fun and not necesarily a strong build. Other examples of grindy games are: Destiny 2, ARK, Terraria, most MMORPGs, etc and gachas such as Dokkan Battle, Genshin Impact and Grand Cross.

Thats the exact reason I stoped playing Destiny for a while.

Even if that was the case, the grindy element, that you call "tertiary", is litterally one of the reasons lots of people play the game, nobody likes a game that can be completed in 5 hours or even idle games that you don't even need to play them. You play MH to get a long term experience with lots of content that require a lot of your time, and that'ss the beauty about grindy games.
