I’m currently doing a bow build on a new account to see if I like it, as I’ve never been a fan of ranged weapons. For farming, however, I’m just using a defender charge blade(it’s just easier and quicker). I have to say, it’s been pretty enjoyable so far figuring out what’s best for what monster and where to aim and everything

crazyalun yeah. I have to say I HATE the range on it. If you know the monster move set, it’s not too hard to space yourself adequately, but with a monster with a big hitbox or unpredictable nature it’s a lot harder.

Bow main here. Positioning is always the key to be a good bow user, especially when you're hunting in a group. Although yes, the range is kinda wonky at first but you'll get used to it the more you fight particular monsters with them.

@@lightning116 one of my favorite moves using a bow is showering them with that overhead shot and watching them get hit over and over again. I don’t even care if it only hits for one point each, it’s just fun.

@@songbird6414 Ah the arc shot. Sometimes you can get 2 points of damage off of them. And K.O. damage to knock a monster down, but they must hit the head repeatedly for it to work obviously.

Me too but I understand why they make it Switch only. Monster Hunter is already a great portable game since the portable/freedom series and since they bring it back again to handheld (with Switch being the only good handheld for now), I bet MHRise will make many sales, especially in Japan.

I dont use bow but capcom couldve really done something cool with the blackveil vaal hazak bow. They couldve made the bone parts vaals skull bones (theyre arched like a bow shape)and couldve made the string out of decaying flesh that unravels when you pull the string and they couldve even lined the body of the bow with varying sizes of spores and made them blow out effluvium when the arrow was fired. Im just saying that it was a missed opportunity.

You can't sell it. Once you beat Behemoth its in your inventory forever, kind of like the charm Geralt gives you to use against the ancient leshen.
