I understood her fairly well, when Robert and I stop in there for a couple beers she always wants to speak English with us so she can learn it better. I just have to repeat things sometimes for her to understand. Nice family, to bad they got flooded last month. It devastated so many families in this area. Glad to see them moving up the road less than 100 meters, it is across the street from where they live and the land is several meters higher than their land is. I had no idea they got flooded before that day.... I just knew they were closed for a while....

Q 1. Was it the manual clutch that led to the demise of the plates? Q 1. How much play do you allow your chain? Q 3. How much beer will you have to drink to cover the young lady’s removal costs? Q 4. Did you remove the centre/side stands for the rally?

Q1-- A1: They were manual clutch discs, plates and clutch basket installed to actually make it a real manual clutch setup. The auto clutch system has been removed so the manual system could be put in... Q2-- A2: I allow between 1 and 1 & 1/2 inches of freeplay in the chain. Anything tighter and it causes the chain to stretch. Anything looser and it may jump a sprocket after normal stretching... Q3-- A3: There is a real good chance I'll need Robert back here to help me, but I'm guessing we'll need to up our beer stops to once a day for a month instead of our 2 times a week we normally pass through there. We may even have to start buying some chips to eat with the beer and double our normal tip we give her family. Q4-- A4: I pulled the center stand off and will now leave it off as it has the tendency to hang up on to much stuff that we ride in. Robert has now removed (actually I did it for him) his center stand as the only time we really needed it was to work on the rear wheel. Since I now have a jack to do that, we don't need no stinking center stands.....😎

I watched the video twice and the ending 5 times.. much appreciated. 5 thumbs up.. Now I am trying to see if I am fit enough to ride the Mae Hong Son Loop. I hope I have the name right as I see there is also a Mae Salong Loop. I have just started researching it. In an odd coincidence, thisremotecorner updated their article about the Mae Hong Son Loop just today. I think I could make it if I could follow Robert. I'd need my own helmet with a sun visor and new face shield, and probably better riding gear than shorts and a golf shirt. I am assuming you plan to wait for Robert to get back before starting the trip? Lastly, do you like the manual clutch well enough to keep it, or do you plan to revert back to the automatic clutch. I hope to get one or two Dax 125s this month, and I think it will ride like a Monkey with an automatic clutch. It will give me a chance to see if I like the Monkey or the Dax better.

I will keep the manual clutch on the CT, I'm still getting used to it, but the advantages it gives with being able to lift the RPM's up with a flick of the left hand instead of trying to flick the shifter without changing gears is definite positive.... Now I take it easy on it and do a long term evaluation of it.... So far, I like it. I can actually do wheelies on the bike now....

@@TeamDNFracing I hear you on the clutch.. If you watch the first half of the Monkey 125 video I put up yesterday, you will see the massive hills I have to contend with around me.. LOL I made an evening ride on a CT last night without filming it, and when I got home, I wasn't strong enough to turn the CT around on the grass and pull it back into the shop. I had to get back on it, and drive it around the yard, drive it frontwards into the shop, turn it around in the shop, and put it away. That sort of says how feeble I have become.

@@Vintage_Garage Your not feeble, they're just making the bikes to heavy for us old guys to move around....😎

@@TeamDNFracing I think you might be right. I sold or gave away my Triumph 650 and Norton 750 collection when I turned 65, and switched to small Hondas. Now maybe a CT125 is getting too heavy for me. First step is to empty all my emergency fuel containers on the side racks. I don't have a need to carry extra fuel.

Hood video sir

Not real sure what "Hood video sir" means, but hey, every little bit helps the channel. Hope you liked the ending with one of our beer ladies we see on our weekly CT bike rides. I reel sorry for her family as the flood really did hurt the mom and pop shops the most. Hopefully when they get moved to the new location, they don't ever have to go through this again.... More videos coming, just have to find time to edit them.... Oh yea, the CT manual clutch is pretty good now. It does increase the instant power of the bike and when letting off the throttle, there is an instant hit from engine breaking unlike the auto-clutch lag. I'm really liking the manual. Seems more like a real motorcycle now...

Where is the rest of the moped Gang? I am suprised that you didn't bring spareclutch for the race? Are going for it next year?
@TeamDNFracing24 күн бұрын
Robert left four days before the race to go back to work and Daniel was on vacation in the Philippines. Jonny Mac was on his Northern Alaska to the tip of Argentina adventure ride so it really was just me. Had a blast anyway, but I was surprised the clutch fried, but we did hammer it pretty hard on those hills. That's what did it....
