Thanks for the video , I have just ordered the ja65 kit , was curious as to what it really looks like. Now I know , great stuff. But I'd think I better get some spare slave cylinder O-rings...not sure these two wont need replacement eventually (them being so close to one another around incompatible fluids...). Any idea where I could find those ? (maybe from webike ?) Very helpfull video even if made by a diy-er (I'm a mechanic ). Thanks again.

Thanks for the kind words. Glad it was helpful. I think it is probably a smart idea since they have different compositions. I would try Takegawa first, Webike would be a good choice as well. The questions is how long will the seals last and will you be able to keep track of the replacements if you get them now.... ( I sometimes struggle to find stuff I bought two months ago...)

I found the video very helpful, thanks for posting it. I gave a thumbs up. Would have given it two thumbs up, but KZbin only let me do one.. LOL. I ordered the JA65 kit, so I got a different gasket. The master cylinder in my kit came with a brake light switch installed in it. When I look at 11:53 in the video, I think I also see wires inside your bag with the master cylinder in it. I am assuming your just removed the switch, or do the wires just disconnect from the switch and you leave the switch in there? Also, I see you removed the left Barkbusters hand guard, and made a comment about something on the master cylinder being blocked by the Barkbusters. Can you be more specific as to what was blocked, and if the Barkbuster could be fitted as a last step after the master cylinder is installed? I mount all of my Barkbusters outside of the mirrors. At first thought, one would think moving the mirror inward would reduce visibility to the rear, but it really doesn't. It would be great if you would try temporarily moving the master cylinder inward and mounting the left Barkbusters outside of the master cylinder and let me know if it fits that way, much appreciated Moving the left Barkbuster outward provides better hand protection, but I don't know if it will be comfortable shifting with the shift handle moved inward with the mirror. Thanks again for posting the video, much appreciated.

Thank you for the post. My master also had the switch, I just routed the wire under the plastic and zip tied them, so not used. If the switch is easy to remove I will look at that. I haven't tried to re-install that barkbuster yet, but I will. I was going to install the guard on the inside of the clutch perch, but the reservoir is so close to the bar that there is no room for the mount, so you would have to move the perch to outside of the reservoir and the bar starts its curve. I ordered a perch offset (two actually) with the intent of moving the reservoir assembly out. Not sure if it will work but that is my next step. My pleasure making the video, new to videos, but have been helping people understand stuff for a few years.

@@ChrissScooterSupportGroup Thanks for the confirming the brake light switch. I also appreciated that you showed to photo of the Takegawa brake fluid, so that I could see that it was DOT-4. I picked up some Hondapro DOT-4 this morning. I still don't understand your Barkbusters explanation though. I am confused by the use of the word "perch". At 31:49 in the video, you put your finger where the Barkbuster should go. Doesn't the Barkbuster mount where your finger is if you simply move the master cylinder the width of your finder toward the center of the motorcycle to make room for the Barkbuster between the switch assembly and the master cylinder?

@@Vintage_Garage Maybe, I will take the barkbuster and try to mount it again, it seems like the lever might get in the way, but I will check it out this weekend.

@@ChrissScooterSupportGroup Thanks for the update and information. that is good news.. When the CT125 was first introduced a couple of years ago, I watched all the videos about it from from Thailand. This is one of many videos from Thailand showing how they mounted the Barkbusters: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnm9h5eEiNKid9k While there is no clutch lever to contend with in that video, it did tell me what to do on my first Trail 125. I have Barkbusters installed now on three of my Trail 125s at those same locations. I also used the same locations on both of my Monkeys, which do have clutch levers. Here is one example, skip to 13:20 to get to the Barkbusters: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5OXhGZtja-VjNk I did find that I needed mirror extenders on the Monkeys, but not on the Trail 125s. Depending on your shoulder width, you may or may not want mirror extenders on your Trail 125. Have a look at: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g5OXhGZtja-VjNk There is a link to the mirror extenders I used in the description field in that video.

Aside from manual clutch i think it also need 5th gear like the groms. So that you can have a tall cruising gear rather than redlining the hell out of it in speed limit speeds🤣

Watched this in all no so many times. Would you please just take this down and redo this video getting your terms consistent- & say it in a way that makes sense, please? I’m sure you have amazing gifts and are a talented person but communicating is not on your talent list. Specify what you’re referring to when you use identical worst. But that’s for the effort. I appreciate you. “This little shoe”…. What shoe!? Can’t see squatt? “This clutch re engages”. Which one? Abbot & Costello “what’s on 2nd….whose on 3rd?” Haha. Giving up
