I'm still salty about how she was miscast as Risa in PSO2, a role clearly only given to her because of 2B. Though not _nearly_ as badly miscast as the late Billy Kametz (speaking of Jojos) as Luther, a casting choice that will never not be entirely baffling because Kametz couldn't play a complete scumbag like him that properly (the English dub cast was full of Jojo's and SAO veterans). He definitely gave it his best shot though, no denying that. The Japanese dub had Dio Brando's and Freiza's seiyu playing Ophiel and Bethor too but the closest we got in the English dub was Terrence Stone who shared a role with Freiza's seiyu in Bleach as Hagith. To be fair though, the voice they gave Bethor in the english dub fit the scummy director sthick really well and I don't think giving him Freiza's voice would have worked.

Also speaking of big roles landed by the cast, I can't be the only who finds it _incredibly_ ironic that Xander went on to voice Joker in Persona 5. Rufus Shinra is exactly the kind of guy that would be final boss material in Persona 5. Mostly because you can't steal the heart of someone who doesn't have one in the first place.

How is it a "celebrity" cast, the SSB4 dub was a non-union dub that paid like $200 total. It's a dub version of a fighting game, it's not really that "glamorous" of a job. However, someone like Matthew Mercer (Jotaro) or Patrick Seitz (Dio) would be quite cool, & probably they'd do it for free.

+GekkanShounen that's because 1: the quality of the episodes rose consistently and considerably with each new one released, and 2: most of the major haters just kinda left. In all honesty the first two episodes really weren't that good. They were alright, I mean they weren't so bad they drove me away or anything, they just didn't really work. Combination of the writing, timing, and reading. Common case of a comedy taking time to really get into its flow, but it still takes patience and can be jarring when viewed off the back of something that's been going strong for years.
