I'm a diehard LSU fan and I agree with most of what he said. The offense is bound to take a big step back, and while we got great new coaches, Kelly didn't do much good work in the portal to help the worst defense LSU has ever had. They all have experience, but we're also breaking in a new starting QB and new coordinators on both sides. I'm not a betting man, but over 9.5 feels pretty reckless. That said, the future is very bright. Geaux Tigers

@@noahlejeune3154 My partner you remember that '06 season? Jamarcus 1st overall pick in draft Pretty sure it was Dwayne Bowe and Buster Davis at WR. That's 2-1st round WRs. GONE. That was the first time in college football history QB and 2 WRs all go 1st round same draft. Just like exactly what happened. REMEMBER the '07 season? Hester up the middle. How many 4th down converts did tigers have that game. WE LSU we been there before. That defense has some talent. All they have to do is make the opponent kick a FG instead of a PAT once a game, scoring defense goes up to about 49-50 in scoring defense. That's a pretty decent jump. HOLD THE ROPE MY PARTNER.

Some wild takes here. I don't get Mike's hype on Mizzou or Bama. Bama will be competitive in a year or 2 but they lost half their roster, the goat, have not 1 but 2 new OCs, new DC, new HC. It doesn't matter who you are, it's hard the first season with one of those changes much less all of those changes. Mizzou is less in the hole but they did lose 2 top NFL draft pick and has a new DC. Just like the narrative of LSU offense taking a step back after losing 3 first rounders, the same with Mizzou on defense. I think this shouldn't be considered BK 3rd year but next season would be. Season 1 was such a program reset with only 35 scholarship players, his 2nd season was really his first. I don't think a 9-3 season from him will heat up his seat any especially with the 2025 class he has coming in.

I think it will take a cpl of years for LSU's new defensive staff to get the defense where they want to be (top 5-20). They could still be way better than they were last year, if they hit on the DL transfers. Also a lot of LSU's problems from last year are cosmetic problems. Tackling, pursuit angles, and knowing where they need to be or where their assignment is. They wont be a top 30 defense this year, but we could look up mid-season and say "wow this lsu defense gets to the ball in a hurry." Or "man this LSU secondary can get them a couple turnovers a game." If that happens i think its possible for LSU to be a top 11 team and squeeze into the playoff. May put a ton of importance on that Oklahoma game at the end of the year.

Ole miss will finish second in the sec depending on what Georgia does with that daunting schedule. Last season Georgia had the easiest schedule and yes completely shut the rebels down but ole miss was so banged up in that part of the season. Watkins was catching kicks with a cast on, the o-line was hurt in areas I want to say tre Harris was hurt also idk it was a handful of player hurt that game. Georgia schedule is gonna take a toll on their players so I wouldn’t rule out an L for Georgia when they play ole miss
