Korean print 15AX-KRY07 has the original Blue Eyes artwork with prismatic effect for much lower cost than DDS. And with the Korean text looks arguably more iconic. (Dont tell Sam or he'll buy them all out of circulation)

My favorite thing about these nostolgic packs is that EVERY card is a prize. I feel like since i'm not really watching the show like i used to, every card from these older packs was something I wanted to frame. I feel like in modern yugioh, it's a whole box opening in hopes of only just a few cards.

I really think this product is only worth opening for the nostalgia. It’s a very bad ratio between what you pay and what you get. Old ratios mean very little foils and then they are looking so much different from the OG printings

I started playing the year it came to the US. And I played for 5 years after until my senior year of HS. Got back into because of masterduel and had to crash course myself on the rules of XYZ Syncro and Link summons (I bought LoaD on switch and played the campaign to learn). Sam started following you a few months back, and I really enjoy your stuff, man, and your respect and love for the classic side of the game. Was cool seeing you pull cards that are irrelevant now, but back in the day, they would be used as sets in decks. Very cool video. 🤘

Imagine growing up when the game came out like me... you only got one rare per pack and you never knew what your were going to get. It made getting a ultra rare / secret rare that much more valuable to you. You expected nothing, so when you got something it was awesome. I bought 3 boxes, pulled Chaos Emperor Dragon, Tri-Horned Dragon, Gia the Dragon Champion, and some pretty good utras and supers. Rarity these days has been spoiled in my view. This was the reality back then, and not many people knew about the Hobby Boxes and Retail Boxes had different secret rares in them. Either you got mad lucky, or you pulled what you pulled here in the video.

Gotta agree with the print quality/difference.. these printing companies don't use the same method, obviously, they are more set up to print all the flashy, textured and unique holo rarities. Making it when they go to print OG sets they don't have that same appeal, feel or smell

I'll admit that it's nice that we are getting budget starlight rares, but I don't think buying a box of this is worth it even if it contains old school packs (with old school ratios). Still better off buying singles in my opinion. I think OCG still wins over the TCG cause even though the TCG starlights look nice, the OCG still went through the trouble of including sleeves and a plaque to display the god card, which the TCG didn't really bother doing.
