melffies have great synergy with chimeras, most of their effects are generalized towards beasts so you can search for gazelle on your opponent's turn. use cross sheep to boost atk and summon mirror knights and gazelles from GY. removal is a bit of a problem for the chimeras without nightmare magician on the field and melffies typically use return effects rather than destruction effects which are less commonly resisted. they make for great fusion fodder and are easily recycled with melffy hide and seek which will also protect guardian chimera from raigeki and non targeted destruction effects. lastly both archetypes are great at churning cards from the deck to the hand and GY so you have fewer cards to draw through before you get to one that can't be searched. there are probably better options but I love my scary monster/ baby monster deck lol.
