Who thinks that speed duel is underrated. Such a fun and relaxing version of yugioh

it is, they messed up marketing. Combine the rex/weevil decks to play all in for perfectly ultimate great moth (the dna surgery idea is stupid by comparison, and doesn't benefit you from playing bulk like insect princess/queen compared to the normal support) and have hyper hammerhead, gale lizard, and man eater bug (this format has rare monster removal). So thankful I'm not the only one who talked about it (on instagram though). If someone ever wants to modify for better toons feel free. Heck, I think Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth and other nomi monsters (gearfried the swordmaster) should go to extra deck as you'll lose if you draw it. The starter decks are so affordable and 2 players is so affordable, I'd say you could buy all the starter decks for $30 and have a 2-3 player draft, maybe some booster packs though sadly a lotta those cards suck, and with 4 card packs, it's probably hard to get other character skill cards. Still, Lord of Dragons is badass and reliable now, and so are toons. Gravekeepers are a bit watered down but not that bad. I'd modify with a nice playgroup for sensible stuff (spy/guard aren't broken for this format, especially given you need the skill card rather than necrovalley, but up to them to decide). I would say this is commander yugioh kinda, but I wish they marketed it so that you combine the 3 starter decks (Gravekeeper's with relinquished is badass, though yeah I'd allow pre-preparation of rites as with 4 card opening hands, rituals are very costly, and senju/sonic bird but no manju is stupid). Still, this allows people to customize the game and not be bored with special summons and preventable boards. Edit: also saw a lotta recent vids on this, dueling book added speed duels online (you choose skill card at the duel so don't add custom to deck), though I'm always up for a game via chat or that. Serpent night dragon sucks without a means to easily get it onto the field, but glad it at least has a future with that skill card.

Actually it is and it's far more relaxing than normal yugioh but it's quicker to play too. You don't have to spend around 40 minutes in one duel. It's really underestimated.

@@yasinrhodes118 no it was in Duelist Knigdom when May set up a duel between Joey vs Rex and they made the bet during the duel, since winning that duel Joey had Red-Eyes until he lost it in an unfair duel against Mario's rare hunters cause the Battle City hadn't begun yet until the day after then Yugi/Atem or Yami as some may know him faced that rare hunter and won back Red-Eyes and Joey refused to take it back cause Yugi/Atem had won it fair and square in the duel.

A lot of vanillas seen here were actually released in Legendary collection 4 Joey's world and others are OCG imports. I love OCG vanilla imports. Big insect, alensection and winged cleaver are all imports as well as fire reaper and blue eyed silver zombie from scars of defeat.

Eternal Duelist Soul and Worldwide Edition were the first to use TCG rules...I remember playing against Kaiba using Cyber Stein to call out Blue-Eyes Ultimate...Vorse Raider and Gemini Elfs were S Class cards. Sacred Cards and Reshef were downgrades to the game in general, but I liked the overhead view (walking around in Domino City) and story mode in general. Worst thing of all, not long after they stopped giving players Prismatic Rares with Yu-Gi-Oh! games (Joey the Passion in July 2004 was the last one iirc..only about 40 different Prismatics existed outside of World Superstars and the recent 4 from Rising Rampage)

Raise Body Heat is one of those LOB Equip Spell cards that all only give a measly 300 ATK boost. They're nothing special today, but in Speed Duels, they can actually mean victory. :)

Weevil's deck is like several thousand times better than Rex's. What are you going to do against a perfectly ultimate great moth? Use Gale Lizard? Or Serpent Night Dragon with the three techs that can summon it one of which requires a extra card.

In speed duels you can only use speed duel cards. However, you can use all speed duel cards in decks for the regular Yu-Gi-Oh format.
