I’m a retired RN from Northwest Missouri. I worked nearly 50 years on cement floors and 13-14 hours a day. Lifting patients that weighed nearly 400-600 pounds. I was expected to give my body and life to Liberty Memorial Hospital. I tried to get a nurses union into the hospital and was told if I even spoke with them I would be fired. When an RN retires you’re lucky to get a cake and a pin to show your years of service. There is no such thing as a pension.

The way I heard it, this speech was refreshingly non-partisan. He praised the GOP members that at least appeared for the cause, while not endorsing anyone. I think he is forcing whatever political hand that will give him a platform to shout from. Brilliant speech that defends the American worker. @@dmdjones1595The problem with the way the law is now is that a person can refuse to be in a union AND he must still receive all the union benefits that union members get. Basically the law facilitates freeloaders. If it were the case that non union members have to negotiate their own salary and benefits, that would be no problem, but the way it is now, they get all the benefits that a union works for without having to pay any dues.
