I feel like asking 3 times before allowing to play a game without saving enabled is fair. You really don't want to realise that mistake after playing a game for hours. Why it's an option in the first place is a different question.

I actually worked briefly on the PC version of this game! Tennings did a review of it on his series "Worst games you've never played", along with a number of other games by Atomic Planet. They are seldom mentioned online, and are indeed terrible, so it's nice to see that they can at least give some entertainment value, even if it's not the originally intended form of entertainment. Although I sympathise with the company over it's need to finish and release games to pay wages, it's a real shame when any studio falls into the cycle of releasing tripe just to make ends meet; it's a cycle they're unlikely to ever get out of. For example, many of their PS2 games didn't feature saving, because this would require a lot of testing and checks by Sony that could fail and delay release. The only game which at least had some innovation to it was Darkwind for the Gametrak controller (which I thought was pretty amazing at the time; before the Wii), which was covered by Octavius Kitten/King. Even that was rather flawed! Come to think of it, they did make a few good GBA games, notably Puzzle Fighter.

The saddest thing is that this could have been a great game, properly developed. The idea, hunting vampires in victorian London, with Jack The Ripper being an actual vampire lurking in the background, is a great setting for a fantastic horror experience. There's nothing worse than seeing great ideas being absolutely squandered.

Someone already pointed that out i'm sure but... 22:50 "Attic player" ('Joueur du Grenier') is a french youtuber who review bad games from the past, he's like the french equivalent of the AVGN (from whom he got his inspiration to begin his own reviews sin 2009). He did a review for this catastrophic game in 2017. (sorry if my english isnt' that good)

I LOVE that shitty games are still finding new ways to fuck with our perception of space and distance. When you look through the fence, the reflections in a puddle become hOoOoOoLeS iN tIiIiIiMe. When you walk forward, the platform you're standing on becomes a downward slope that rises to meet you so that you always remain level. I wonder if, in the near future, people will start having different kinds of trips when they take psychedelic drugs because their minds are wired earlier to accept this kind of thing from games becoming more ubiquitous.

Daemons were just spirits that were closer to this plane of existance. They were generally considered just intelligences while the evil ones are cacodaemons. Daemons are the ones you work with to effect change in the physical world as they were thought to be thw closest to us.

After a couple of weeks of average, but not actually terrible, games, it’s been nice to get back to normal, over the last two ‘WGE’ episodes; I was starting to get a little worried, when both ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End’, and ‘The Chronicles of Narnia’ adaptations were relatively ok, and not nearly as horrific, as I thought they’d be. I wondered if ‘Worst Games Ever’ might have to change its name to something like ‘Bang-Average Games’; but, after the frustratingly tedious ‘Robin Hood’s Quest’ last week, and the tediously frustrating ‘Daemon Summoner’ this week (or vice versa), it’s nice to see that my fears were completely unwarranted, and we’re right back down amongst the turds of the video games sewer haha. ‘Worst Games Ever’ has very quickly become my favourite show; while I’ve been a fan of both Ben, and Peter, since their ‘Whatculture’ days, I lost track of them when they left the channel. I only discovered ‘Worst Games Ever’ less than a week ago, when I found the 7 episodes they made on ‘Whatculture’ before they left; since I found the show, I’ve been working my way through their back catalogue of shows, over the various channels they’d been on, and I’ve loved every minute of it. I’ll be disappointed when I’m finally all caught up, as it’ll mean I’ll have to wait two weeks for new ones; but I’m just glad that they’re still going, and making new episodes of this absolutely marvellous show. 😀 And long may it continue. 🤞😀🤞

First heard of this infamous FPS kusoge from Tennings' The Worst Games You've Never Played series. Furthermore, I will torture myself with Daemon Summoner on my channel's PS2 Shovelware Special. It is so awful, the game was placed in TV Tropes' So Bad, It's Horrible page on Video Games(6th Generation). The worst game that I ever played without realizing it (though I actually have fond memories of) was Neopets: The Darkest Faerie on the PS2. Full of glitches, horrid rendering, confusing quests, claymation-looking cutscenes... It was fun to play as a child especially since I liked the Neopets website so much, but the game itself is hard to finish without a guide. I'd love for you guys to try it, but Daemons Summoner is DEFINITELY worse than the darkest faerie, so I'm not sure if it meets your criteria of being bad enough

I’ve actually played this one and the beers to the second level is just a nightmare it’s so hard to get through I beat it by random chance and I got through about halfway through the third level and just stopped and it’s actually that bad on the PS2 is all the glitches that you were saying it was impressive that they were able to put this together basically in three months though
