Wing Racing with South Wales FPV

I was invited to fly with Wings Over Wales FPV / South Wales FPV.
What a fantastic location, Abersychan, Pontypool, South Wales, UK
Location of a Grade 2 Listed Chimney / Air Vent for an old mine.
When they have stock I am getting an e-wing Claymore or BlackHawk.

Lol....I was wondering if anyone noticed. Most of us were 5.8/200 and covered the area well but the boys do greater distances where they normally fly so set up to fly several models.

Do you guys fly without flight controllers,e.g. fully "manual"?

I do, however some guys like adding iNav with F4 flight controllers. I prefer to fly without and just have an OSD for battery voltage.

@@TWSreviews Many thanks..I'm new to wings and have a Caipi2 ready without any assistance, and an AR Wing mini with a Kopilot Lite in it Building a HeeWing F01 now with a Matek F411 wse in it .Haven't had the opportunity to fly any of them yet as I'm in Spain until March!Never flown a wing....hence my question.👍🍻

@@chrissofpv3017 I realised recently that all the planes I have crashed in the last two years have been due to flight controllers. Either not set up properly, oscillation from flight controllers over compensating or system glitches. Receiver to servo is down to your flying skill. Buy a radio and receiver that will do any range like FrSky or Crossfire then your video will be the only restriction. Set failsafe to throttle off and a very little nose up and bank left or right just in case. Most Important- Always have a spotter. It’s the risk that makes it more exhilarating. If you want to carry expensive cameras with RTH then buy a DJI. Don’t push the range Fly local but low, Top Gun style with a wing is amazing fun. Freaks your spotters out lol

Is their website offline? took a while to load (sipping coffee 'a while" actually) and now it only shows a blank screen? getting back into fixed wings by re using some electronics/motors leftovers from 3d printed planes, these EwingFPV desings look interesting.

Hello! You are flying a plane in a very nice place. What is the transmission distance of the transmitter? Which system does FPV use? Please let us know as we will refer to it.

Thank you. It is a lovely valley. Radio 2.4ghz and good for 2km and video is 5.8mhz 25mW maybe 200mW The valley was approx 600-800M wide so signal was always good

2KM! The radio waves are very strong. The transmitter I'm using is the FlySky i6 FS-i6 2.4G 6CH. What transmitter should I use to reach 2km of radio waves?

Hey there. Nothing stopping us from shipping to NZ, just doesn't feel right charging what it would cost us to ship unfortunately. I can picture a lot of people being being branded as criminals for flying a model aircraft........ Imagine!....... "What are you in for?......murder" "What are you in for?.......flew my drone FPV" "You crazy b.....rd you deserve all you get." Maybe there will be a special prison for AMA offenders on Guantanamo.😂 I really think the world has gone mad.....I can see it being restricted in the UK to registered flying sites only
