You guys probably have a decent backlog already so this may be redundant but: 1. You can swap places at any point by pressing Z together (I believe it shows this in the controls). You guys should do that to take advantage of your different specials (some specials only appear when you're falling behind and are very strong, others appear whenever but are weak) 2. That sidestep attack with L and R that peebs did can not only spin out drivers you hit, but it also steals their item! 3. The characters you pick not only affect which special items you can get, but also determine which weight class of vehicles you can choose 4. In this game, you've gotta hold or tap accelerate right when the light turns green. If both of you do it together, you get an extra strong boost exclusive to co-op mode

5. Dry Dry Desert is easy to escape the sand trap just drift left or right and use boost.

Alright, so I don't know if you guys are going to be playing more of this or if you'll have all the footage recorded by the time you read this... ...but the way to get the startup boost in _Double Dash_ is to hit or hold A as soon as Lakitu's light turns green. If both of you hit it at the same time, you get an even faster boost known, fittingly, as the Double Dash. Regardless, thank you for playing this game. This was one of my favorites on the GameCube.

10/10 best Maro Karting I've ever seen. btw you have to press accelerate just when it says start to get the boost. If you both press at the same time in co-op mode you get a Double Dash.

oh. you guys found the co-op. i was orsowoxo on that Gamecube Normal Boots Twitch stream. i hope co-op was good for ya. :P i also hope you guys read this or realize you can switch places with Z, but i think you both have to press it at the same time... and you can tailgate people for a speed boost, too. oh, and punching can actually make people spin out if you have a heavier kart i think. otherwise they can be pushed away with it and hopefully off the track.

the punching tip was nice, i remember when me and my brother co-op'd he always wanted to be in the back and anytime anyone would come close he would punch them, it always funny to hear them spinning out while you left them behind

I like and miss the speedometer that was present in this Mario Kart. When I collide with Toad right after he was hit by a shell, and knock him off a cliff at 55 mph, it's important for me to KNOW that I just crushed a toadstool at 55 mph. It's part of the immersion and satisfaction. Way more brutal and real when you know the speed of impact.

Ah, Double Dash. My least played main console Mariokart game. I have very little recollection of this one, which should make watching this fun! As a side note, when you got to Baby Park, I couldn't help but recall everyone's favorite racing cart game...LOGANKART 8! It's Highly Reactive! I wonder if Waluigi is still in that shopping cart...

I hope they figure out that on this game you have to Tap the A button at the beginning to get the boost, and on the a Co-op both players have to tap the A button, or press it as fast as you can over and over
