I've tried a bunch of tutorials on here, but yours seem to stick with me the best and I keep coming back to them. You have a very calm and patient demeanor about you, so that's probably a big reasonI'm subscribed and can't wait to learn more from you! Very good, quality work, here! Thank you so much!

Oh my gosh, your comment made my day! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch my videos and to write such an encouraging comment. Thanks for thinking that I'm calm and patient. Perhaps being a middle school teacher helped me after all :). Thanks again, and keep playing.

Of course! I'm learning this one and "House of Gold" and they have been challenging (mostly because I have no rhythm at all) but very fun as well. I have a small dream of playing in front of my family someday. :)

Katie, I love your lessons! You're a great teacher. Would it be possible to do a tutorial on "So This is Love" from Cinderella?

the D/F# makes no sense to me, could so.eone try to explain it?
@OneMusicSchool6 жыл бұрын
Sure. The original track has the piano and the bass playing an F# while the right hand of the piano is playing a D chord. If you listen to the track and just play a D chord, you'll hear a slight chord change before the G chord. Something changed or moved. It was that an F# was added to D chord to make a leading tone to the G chord. Strum down, up, down, up on a D Chord then add the F# like I did in the tutorial for another down, up and then play the G for another down, up to end it. I hope that makes sense. It's a little hard to know what you're looking for if I can't see you face to face.

do you use a concert ukulele? i cant decide which one is better ,soprano or ukulele? im a begginer ,and i am completely clueless :/
@OneMusicSchool7 жыл бұрын
Hi, and thanks for watching :). I use a tenor. I'm originally a guitar player, so the bigger ukulele feels more natural to me. I also playa concert when I teach my in person lessons. I do like the soprano ukuleles for portability, but I would say choose the one that is right for you. Play several, if you can, from a store or friend's ukulele, and you decide if you like the way a certain size feels. I hope that helps :).

@OneMusicSchool7 жыл бұрын
I usually just stick to the official recording because it's easier for my students to follow along. Because there are so many live versions, it's easier for others to follow along to the most common track. Thanks for watching :).

Wow, that was quick. Well, that makes sense, but you can't ignore how cute just that sounds
