I bought this charger recently here in Australia, the model number, same wattage and 5A cable included in the box as well. What I am confused about is that Samsung does not mention anywhere on the box or even on the charger that this is a GaN charger, I can't seem to find the name GaN written any where on the box or charger, but according to Charger Lab it is. I have quite a lot of chargers at home, mostly GaN and some even from Alogic and they all have GaN written on them.

is there any differences between this and the old TA845 one since both are 45w PPS with the same specs? can you share the charge time for both?

Samsung USB-C 45W charger is equipped with GaN technology?
@TheUltimateSlayer2 жыл бұрын
I have it. It's a very good quality charger. Sadly it doesn't support many protocols outside of 45W PD and the 45W range of PPS. If you want a usb c charger that supports QC4+ or other mainstream protocols outside of just 45W PD/PPS, then I'd recommend UGREEN'S or Baseus's various usb c chargers. Most chargers that come directly from specific smartphone companies dont support protocols that their own devices dont use. So if you need SCP or FCP or the full PPS range of 3.3-21V 5A, look elsewhere. But it's still nice for exclusively Samsung users. The cable that comes with it is nice to since it's 6ft long and supports 5A charging. As a recommendation, UGREEN has a 100W wall charger with 2 usb c ports, that supports every single mainstream fast charging protocol out there including the full range of PPS. It's on Amazon and I've bought several of them due to the quality of the charger and how fast it charges everything from smartphones to power banks to laptops.

No Ugreen charger offers 5A PPS, even the 100W model
@TheUltimateSlayer2 жыл бұрын
@@Maciek888 UGREEN does have 2 models that support it, the 100W wall charger model with two usb c ports. I own several of them and have tested them with various usb c testers. Flat out supports and is able to output 3.3-21V 5A. And their 100W desktop charger also supports the full range of PPS with 5A. I also own their desktop charger, and it can do 20V 5A PPS.

@@TheUltimateSlayer After a few reminder emails and weeks of waiting, Ugreen responded negative to my question if any of their chargers output PPS 5A - it was just a few months ago. There were more precise questions, I explained what to look for at the specs sheet etc. but they never answered these in more detail. Well, that's typical, support of Chinese brands often have no idea about technical stuff and don't know their products. In the end I purchased Aukey PA-B6S 90W as manufacturer clearly communicated the specs including PPS.

Is it recommended for S22 Ultra (Ugreen 100 W)
@TheUltimateSlayer2 жыл бұрын
@@AbdulBasit-cn7bc The dual port 100W version can offer the 10V 4.5A required for Super fast charging 2.0. So yes, it is recommended. It can achieve the full 45W speeds for the latest Samsung devices due to it supporting the full range of PPS. It being 3.3-21V 5A.

it doesn't support 25w or 45w for Samsung, i bought it with the s21u last year and it didn't support any superfastcharging capabilites. the newer 100w one does support both though but they're absolutely garbage as it broke after 1day with smokes coming out of it and it was not just my unit as you can check the amazon reviews with the same issues for it too!
