Thanks for uploading another very useful and informative cable tear down. The cable is of good quality and quite surprise that the USB-C connector have a seam and the plastic cover is just clip on. Perhaps to reduce the cost. The APPLE charging cable tear down earlier was of higher and better construction. Hopefully the USB-C connector seam don’t open apart and short out the USB-C receptacles in devices. Also the seam will make the power cable USB-C connector structurally weak with repeated use plugging in and plugging out. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

This is so cool! I waa surprised to learn choice in cable matters when charging devices with greater than 3A current via PD PPS so getting to see inside of this cable is super cool!

why do you think the seams are a problem?
@ChargerLAB2 жыл бұрын
the PSM-IPAD64 Z17 _O X 15 can answer your problem. the seam will make the power cable USB-C connector structurally weak with repeated use plugging in and plugging out.

Looks like it's only supposed USB 2.0. I didn't see the super speed bus wires.
@ChargerLAB2 жыл бұрын
cause it's for charging, not for data transmission.

@ChargerLAB I understand that. Just people are always under the impression that if it has a type C connector, it must be faster in every way. I constantly find myself trying to explain that type C is just a connector. It doesn't tell you the protocol.

Yep, you're correct.

Please do a teardown of *Standard 3A USB- C to C Samsung cable which comes with a 25W Charger* want to know what is the difference between different USB-C to USB-C cables.
@heckintosh2994 Жыл бұрын
Mostly the amount of 'leads' (pins) that are connected, and the programming on the chip (that's there to 'tell' the connected devices what the cable's capable of). If that cable is made by the same factory, chance is that the cable's going to otherwise look nearly identical internally.

The charging power is determined by the receiving end, such as the phone. So, you can do that.

Jesus, the way this connector's wired up looks like a fire risk. Looks very cheaply made. Not only does it look poorly twisted, they also didn't even bother to coat it in epoxy.
