Thank you so much Elizabeth for watching my video and subscribing to my channel, I really appreciate it a lot! I'm so sorry for the late reply. To make vortexes, it is a challenge but for me I feel that using the flea comb makes it easier. It does take some practice though. It may not be something that you like to try, and I totally understand it. There's a lot of other quilling techniques that you can try out. I personally have so many other quilling techniques that I haven't tried yet. I hope this year I can explore them. All my best wishes to you with your future projects! :)

Thank you for sharing. I've tried this again and again and it's never swirls. My center seems tighter, how many tines are you using to start?? Mine are significantly tighter I think,
@azlinaabdul Жыл бұрын
You are welcome Linda B. I'm sorry to hear about your problem with the swirls. Maybe it has something to do with the type of paper you used. Mine is 80gsm. It's just a normal printing paper. Not that thick, suitable for making vortex.
@user-jt2eq6lk6g Жыл бұрын
I've tried and tried and just cant seem to get this one to work. What thickness of paper or weight of paper works best. I think my paper is just too "soft" and doesn't keep the fold when I get to the pulling part.

I have been trying this and I can get the swirls but the finished pedal is not round. where the pinch is made it stays sharp and does not round out. What can I do to stop that?
@azlinaabdul2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mary, I think what you can do is, when pinching the combed paper, don't pinch at the end of the rounded area. Just pinch from the pointy end upwards but leave the rounded area alone, meaning don't pinch all the way up to the end, cause that will make both ends sharp.
