As an American Jew, I am humbled to see this gesture from the king. He appears genuinely emotional in this video, and I thank him for making this important and meaningful trip. Never forget, never again.

I couldn't bring myself to visit a concentration camp after seeing Anne Frank's attic. My father helped liberate Dauchu, he could never talk about it. BLESS King Charles lll on the Holocaust memorial day. May we never forget.

He finally got what he wanted. He wanted to come and pay respects and try to make sure the media doesn't turn it into a circus. He didn't want to put the survivors through that media circus at there age. You can tell that learned that from both of his parents. And we will never forget what happened ever.

In my younger days I visited our twin town as part of a group and we were taken to see the site of a concentration camp, that feeling and knowledge has never left me and never will. Peace to all and may we never forget.

I agree with you and I am proud of our King for paying respects. Our King does not just represent England - one country.. He represents all 4 nations in the UK and it was a Scottish King who united the Thrones of 2 Kingdoms. King Charles III is equally our King in Scotland and long live our King.

My relatives were involved in the Second World War II as well. We must never forget the sacrifice of all of them including the industrialised massacre of over 6 million Jews. How could the Nazis have murdered so many little innocent children?

GOD BLESS KING CHARLES! He was so moved by what he saw, and teared-up at one point. We will NEVER FORGET!! R.I.P. all those who lost their lives during those horrendous times. It never should have happened!! I lost family members in Dachau - and it is unimaginable how tortured and humiliated those poor people were and what they had to endure on a daily basis and the fear that they lived with every day. It is absolutely heartbreaking.

HRH Charles 111 emotional visit to Block 10/11 and yard where many people were liquidated was exactly how I reacted on my visit. This site stirs the soul and will remain impactful for the rest of my life.Todays 80th Commemoration with the speeches and candle lighting memorial truly moving occasion.

If you watch KZbin documentaries of King Charles you will learn that he is and always has been a man of great kindness & love. Look up his work with The Prince's Trust which he started with his own money in the 70's

Where His Majesty laid that wreath was the site of countless executions via firing squad. I remember seeing that wall...you can still see the bullet holes. Absolutely tragic and heartbreaking to witness. 😢 The King looked devastated...

I remember the late Jerry Springer visiting so moving i also remember the story of his father a survivor, as a lad he asked his father why do you keep a car but never drive it, he replied in case we need to go, god bless them and all who were taken.

We live next door to a Jewish man, whose parents when he was very young escaped Poland just before the Germans invaded. When I think of all the persecuted Jewish men, woman, children and babies, who were murdered just because they were Jews, it makes me livid, and I thank the Lord that some did manage to find refuge in other countries including UK.

People have told me it is chilling, harrowing and horrific visiting this place of evil. King Charles showed this on his face when placing the wreath. I felt like that visiting Anne Franks house in Amsterdam the sadness was overwhelming and so don’t think I would cope in this horrid place. 😢
