Tearing apart the S14 Transmission for a rebuild

I ordered a few things from this seller on eBay, it's OEM Nissan parts that are hard to find anywhere else:

Some bearings I got from www.bearingsca...
6306-2NSENR-Nachi-C3-307219 is the bearing i used, i believe for the front of the case.
The bulk of the kit I got from transmissionpartsdistributors.com but i would not recommend them. The kit had missing parts (hence why i ordered from elsewhere as well) and it didn't have the 3 piece synchro for 3rd gear like the S14 SR20 trans requires. They have terrible customer service and have not responded to about 20 voicemails and emails I've left them over a year ago. Do not recommend.
Amayama.com had some OEM Nissan parts as well. This is the 3 piece 3rd gear synchro I bought www.amayama.co...

It pretty much took me almost a year of searching for, purchasing, then waiting for parts before I had everything. But that was largely in part to transmissionpartsdistributors.com being a terrible company.

Pulled out my 510 this summer and found an oil puddle under the gearbox, a KA24 box behind an FJ20. This looks tough, but I'm going to have to give it a go. Thanks for the video.

That's too bad to hear! Hopefully you don't need to do a full teardown but just replace some seals

On the input shaft what kind of key insert are those? The weird looking clip or does it have a lock ring with look like woodruff keys? Thank you

Hi there, where did you get the rebuild kit for the silvia sr20det trans?! I also have a jdm s14 and my trans is at the rebuild shop and they told me the internals were different than the 240sx trans and im having trouble sourcing parts and researching what I need on my silvia sr20det transmission

I actually just put the parts I used in the description of this video. Basically i had to source parts from a few places. The internals between the 240sx and JDM Silvia are very similar, the only difference i found was the 3rd gear synchronizer is a 3 piece on the Silvia but not on the 240.
