It is always funny to see all the "what a waste" and "someone would have taken that" people that comment. Last video, someone was claiming that the cement pad should have been saved. This, many are complaining that this is "good wood" and should have been pry-barred apart. What they don't realize is the man's busy schedule and how he can't waste a whole day on a few 2x's and plywood. Which, btw, was subjected to water intrusion due to a hole in the roof, compromised windows and frames and from the roof of the building adjacent to it. Chris already had salvaged 2 other sheds in this area, and he remarked at how this one was too far gone to save.

You have definitely explained it well. If it was on my property,,,,, IF,,,,,, I would have saved the shed as there was a lot to save, BUT, I am retired and have next to nothing to do except go fishing!! Haha. Chris’ time is worth wayyyy too much to go salvaging this one board at a time and unfortunately it was too far gone to move well. You hit the nail on the head! Some people though, find it hard to see the greater picture because they have never been exposed to a work life similar to Chris’. I get that too. So long as they say it was something that could have been saved and not tell Chris what to do!!!! Hahaha. Stay safe, Eh!

Everyone makes that first mistake of just bashing the roof in, when u bash the roof in like that it makes the building completely unstable and causes stuff to fall outward making a bigger mess. Start from the front or back and work ur way through it, plus u can just load straight into the trailer and not have to worry about the building collapsing everywhere. And I think u need a longer cylinder or put a dog bone on ur thumb attachment, u would have sooooo much more motion and range with the thumb.

abaut the new building you really should get a washpit with grease&oil trap big enough to presure wash and clean your maschines - including the 220 and the dozer also because of the kind of equipment you might run on that foundation id put some 3/8 inch steel plates onto the concrete as abrasion resistance for steel tracked vehicles

For a rotten old shed, that sure put up a fight!! It was built right except for the protection from water intrusion. One very important factor in building. It’s definitely a mistake I have made in the past. If it was on my land and up to me , I would have saved it, but I’m retired and have all the time in the world. Chris did the right thing for his circumstances and timelines. Great video Chris! There was one piece of 2x4 went flying by your windshield early on from the door frame. Good thing you didn’t have the camera in the cab at that time because I’m sure what you said would have demonetized the video!!! Hahaha. Looking forward to the new building going in for you! I think you should design a new bucket -- specifically for demolition. At first I was thinking bucket and thumb, but I realize it is many times easier to swap a bucket. It wouldn't even need to do most "bucket" functions. You already have a custom thumb on this scale, and I'll bet your accessory guys would make a custom bucket to test and show off, if you created a design. That is if you think this can be improved upon, and I'll bet it could.
