You must be really proud of your beautiful poncho. You're fortunate to be able to spend time with your dad doing something you both love. You guys make a great team.

I just subscribed. I own a 72 two door hardtop Lemans that just turned 90,000 miles. It came from California and has no rust at all. I drive it daily. I got rid of my 72 Catalina two door hardtop daily because I didn't need two and love the Lemans. I love driving a Poncho. Oh, tell your dad that I love his Dukes of Hazzard GTO. LOL

That Bonneville is gorgeous. My Dad bought a new one with the 4 barrel carb. That car ride about the best I’ve ever experienced. Wish I had it

Very nice! I got my dad's 66 Bonny wagon. Same interior. Color is a little more green. Engine is the 4 barrel high compression. Almost as clean as yours.

I'm working on restoring my family's 1966 Bonneville Hardtop with a 421 engine.
@jessedewald1471 Жыл бұрын
Don’t replace that engine. Leave the car alone. Perfect the way it is. Plenty of power and will run forever the way it is. The LS will be junk before that engine ever has any problems!

the Bonneville is looking good out on the driveway! Looking forward to your PowerTour coverage.

Was the nylon timing gear ever replaced? My dad bought this car and wants to know before he goes on a long trip in it. He's not able to pull the cover off between now and then

Dont wanna be that guy but im gonna be that guy. Sell the car before you think of destroying its originality. Way to good of a car to mess all up for your enjoyment. someone else will appreciate the story and history as it sits. Otherwise i think you did an amazing job. Looks perfect with what you did there.
@jhutch14702 жыл бұрын
He already stated that he wasn't going to destroy its originality. You can see that his dad already owns a Dukes of Hazzard GTO Judge. They are a car family. I'm sure they will do the right thing.

Would you ever sell this car??
@debonairecatalina6570 Жыл бұрын
You can build a Pontiac with the same money you'd blow on an LS for the same power...WITHOUT a harness, make more torque, look better, sound better and roll with the honor of taking the time to have built what you had instead of taking npc route.
@rogergoodman86652 жыл бұрын
Resist the urge, please don't LS swap it. It's too nice of a car to replace the 389.
