Torn Shirt is my local. I absolutely love it. GoPro doesn’t do it justice for sure. 3rd fav in MI after ‘your mom’ and ‘flow’ in Marquette. Keep up the great work.

Tried this trail out today and took as much speed as I could into the rock at 1:30, really fun! Any other trails with features like this in the area? Maybe I’ll just have to make a trip to boyne highlands.

DTE has some good features. Anyway, if you want to just session a variety of features, try the Cannonsburg Skills Area. I'm currently working on a video from our first time there. Should be up by tomorrow. I think it's only a 2.5 hour drive from SE Michigan.

You know I rode there once and good call totally forgot about that place. I remember riding some skinnies to 3-4 ft drops and of course there were some 12-14 year olds hitting the big drop to the jump. Definitely going to go check it out in the next couple weeks!

Cool video, bro! It’s been a few weeks since my last ride, so yeah I’m a little envious...😜

Yeah, winter sucks. I wanna go out and shred, but the trails are muck here right now. Plus once you go below 40 Fahrenheit, it gets really uncomfortable.

Yup. I'm getting there too. Already getting cabin fever. It's been just work and home, for the past 2 weeks. As soon as we have a snowless weekend and frozen ground, I'm going to ride stony. Looks like this weekend will be too warm, soggy ground, bummer.

Hah, Rode this trail a couple weeks ago and got rained on about a mile after you did! Only it was raining so hard I could barely see! Kinda scary since it was accompanied by strong winds and large branches were coming down left and right! The challenge is to ride this trail without stopping!

Glad you survived the attack of the trees. 😆 I don't think we've ever finished a lap without stopping at least once. 😅

I've ridden Torn Shirt and Murray Lake into Lost & Found Loop and Ralph's Loop all are a great adventure. I love this trail system along with Island Lakes in Brighton and Pinckney State Rec. A couple of great trail systems if you're in the Livingston County area.

I love Pinckney State Rec too. I just started this channel late last summer so I haven't made videos at those trails yet. Can't wait for spring so I can get to it though. 😅

@@dukeofmtb Same here, spring can't come soon enough. Keep it up though, great videos!

what bike do you ride?

It's a 2017 Trek Remedy 8 frame, but almost everything has been replaced. And I covered all the white stripes with carbon fiber vinyl wrap to make it more "stealth". I never liked the giant blank white bit on the top tube.

Hey, based on some of the trails video's you've posted , it looks like you live in the same general area I do. So, if you have a moment I have a question for you. I'm trying to get back into riding again. And i would like to get off the streets and into trail riding in the spring. What trails in the area would you suggest for someone trying to get into trail riding? Is Stony Creek a good place to start?
@dukeofmtb6 жыл бұрын
If you've never ridden a real MTB trail then Stony might be too much to start on. I'd recommend starting at River Bends and Bald Mountain North. Maybe even try Clinton River Trail off of Dodge Park. Hope that helps.

@@dukeofmtb Oops, meant to add my own comment when I posted this, not piggy back off another persons conversation. (I blame my phone) Thank you for the suggestions, it does help. I'll definitely look into those locations so I'll know where to go once winter breaks.

Also, I highly recommend getting the trailforks app. It helps with navigating new trails. My first day at Stony was just figuring out where stuff starts and ends.
