They didn't use cap nails for the synthetic underlayment... Not installed to spec. This company looks like they do a good job, but they might have voided the warranty do to incorrect install.

Concrete roof is the way to go , it can last for up to a century. It’s one of the most long-lasting roofing materials available in the market, and yet I don’t understand why peoples still using this crap to build their roofs . A concrete roof is storm , hurricane and fire proof . They generally low maintenance, meaning they are easy to clean and aren’t too difficult to access.You can even host a party on your roof :) . I never understood why American are using this crap and keep waisting their money on repairs and replacement every 5 to 10 years . Very stupid

So how does this pair up with homeowner's insurance 10 year roof age non-renewal (in Florida)? Got the letter from my insurance a couple of weeks ago - my roof just turned 11 years old, no leaking, no issues. First time homeowner, and I figured I had a few years left.

I never seen anyone run the underlayment over the ice barrier on the eaves. It looks nice.

Don't use OSB for the roof sheathing. Spend a bit more and get some good ply. It's worth it.

Nice video, but I can't help but wonder how all this newer roofing tech, like the extra sticky paper/guard that gets put on, how much of a pain is that to deal with in 20 years for the new roofer that has to deal with replacing the roof and getting that sticky mess off. Anybody have any knowledge on that. Plus these guys are throwing down staples like no tomorrow, I'm sure the next roofer has to deal with this mess of staples all over the place. I guess from the roofer standpoint, just another way to make money by telling the owner that they have to replace the decking. All that mess is not a problem for the roofers, just the homeowner 20 years when the shingles start to fail.

That plastic ridge vent is exposed to the sun, 2 years it will be brittle. If you step on it looks like it would crush.

that obe guy with body harness is scarey. Too much slack and these guys fast as they are...are cavalier. This ice shield i am told shouldnt have no bubbles. I see one there that would worry me.

@@enchilada9546 In you country maybe , but where I come from we have roofs over 100 year to 150 years old no problem , my grandmother house for exemple 1930 no problem, my house 1970 brand new still today , so what are you talking about ? Lol
