Great video. What caused the block to crack like that?

Thanks, more than likely the previous owner had water in the engine over a winter. It froze and instead of the freeze plug popping out it cracked the block. I have seen this on another 305 that was in a 1982 Caprice several years ago.

Its a 305 the dished pistons give it away. 400 sand paper will shine the crank up you can put the crank in a 350.ive done it.peace.....
