Great tutorials, Is it not possible to use the nConstraint Membership Tool on the tearable surface to re-draw out a new pattern?

Been trying to paint the glue strength with the Paint Properties by Texture Map. Do you have to apply Tearable Surface to the whole object first, then paint in the areas you want to break? Would love you to do a tutorial on this...
