That version of tear is hilarious. Especially with EEV. I've had 1 duel when I was able to EEV the opponent for the entire hand. Best part was that it was some runick stun bullshit.

The three big things that originally made this deck broken: -3 opportunities to Fusion summon a turn without relying on a specific Spell card to do it with(reduced to 2 after the Merrli ban and needing to see 1 of just 3 monsters in mills/sends to actually pull it off) -Near perfect synergy with the Ishizu cards allowed for INSANE levels of (2-sided) milling, the ability to run Herald balls, and easy access to rank 4s that are busted both in and against the deck(Time Thief Redoer and Abyss Dweller being the most notable ones). (Limits/bans on those Earth Fairy cards still leave Keldo and Mudora as the best cards in the deck, but the loss of the millers was a massive consistency hit and the low Fairy count kills the ability to run and thus cover plays with Herald balls) -Fusion archetype means the ability to run Super Poly effectively, and running a common attribute like Dark almost ensured you'd be able to use it whenever you see it.(FIRE Meta weakened the aspect of this that allowed for reliable dodging of Targeted Negation, but it can still be used as a Board Breaker against many common board setups if opponents forget to play around it). Despite all the hits, the deck is still "good" in the sense that it can sack its way to victory with the right mills, but without easy access to a mill 3 and a bunch of mill 5 options your whiffs are more common and hurt harder, making the deck feel like the Gamba it was always meant to be. Even the fact that all their backrow floats isn't always enough anymore considering the obvious disruption points and scary OTK lines getting more commonplace than ever before.

Basically every tear card is insanely good in their own right. It’s not any 1 or even couple things that are a problem. Basically every mill and send card needs to be carefully managed with hard limits or bans and they need to stop printing them just because Tear exists. Not just Ishizu’s. Like it’s still viable in TCG *and* OCG *after* banning kit plus hard limiting Ishizu’s. That’s how hard to kill this deck is. And it’s place in MD is still every much secured. Universally agreed to be tiered despite some truly insane limits and bans.

I prefer Tearlament Kashtira (with Arise-heart). It's maybe slightly less consistent/explosive than the 2 decks you've showcased but I've found it to be so much more versatile. Especially in the current meta, going into an Arise-heart Turn 1 or even 2 can be critical. It's helped me win duels against fire king by being able to attack into their BS without them then doing 15 chains in the damage step to summon 5 monsters and pop my entire field (exaggeration).

I don’t think Z-arc is worth considering in anything but Pendulum decks and trap decks. King Arc is even less splashable, viable only in Pend decks

@@soranobabel4474 If you mean the Horus cards no, I don’t get why that’s supposed to be better in Tear personally. All their effects send for cost and therefore don’t trigger Tear gy effects. And Tear is already insanely Engine heavy it doesn’t need any more monsters. Sure because you mill in theory you could summon them without having to sacrifice your hand but it’s super inconsistent. The extra potential payoff just isn’t worth it.

Isn't the timing pretty bad? Most competitive players are on the qualifier right? I don't think a lot people want to test their best deck on the normal ladder where your opponents can take a peek at your whole deck after the duel. Except it's recorded before the qualifier started.

You need to change "Activation order settings" in your duel settings to "ON" Doing so will allow you to choose the order of you chain links when you have multiple effects. I had the exact same question for a long time.

Rescue ace is a top tier deck at the moment in Masterduel , if played right it can achive alot. The guy who said its trash probably got sick of playing against it or simply doesn't enjoye the deck. For a new player I would say its a realy realy good option since the deck is quite strong and has somewhat of short combos compared to many decks out there , good for learning the game
