Roland is wonderful. So well spoken. A deep thinker. The interviewer took the time to really listen. It all flowed wonderfully. Roland and Curt have something magical, since day one. Love the new album. Bravo

I still remember the day I bought The Hurting in 1983. Have loved Curt and Roland since that day...seen them a dozen times. Hard to imagine that that album will be 40 next year. Absolutely one of the best bands to come out of the 80's.

Roland actually wrote a book called “Sex, Drugs and Opera”. It’s semi autobiographical mixed with fiction.

Never heard a bad interview from him ALL through the years, and this is no exception. A few things I'd heard before, but embellished in this interview, and definitely a lot new. TFF is definitely the thinking man's band and typically worth a listen. Thanks to Roland for continuing to be available!

Peter Csathy made an excellent interview as a host. He made Roland Orzabal feel very comfortable and express himself in a very thoughtful and natural way. Roland was such a genious to use music as a therapy to overcome the terrible environment promoted by his parents with strippers and then the divorce. The Primal Scream seems to be an effective tool for Roland to heal himself. Curt has been his childhood friend and very close partner. Differences are normal and they have been able to surpass personal resentment and come back in such a delightful way. Tear for Fears keeps being an extraordinary band with great voices, acoustic, lyrics and message. G-d Bless You ❤🥳🙌

Loved this interview. I was a teenager in Bath in the 80s and always felt that Mad World reflected my experience of growing up in a beautiful city with everyone else seeming to know what they were about, and me being troubled and not knowing how I was supposed to fit into this world. Hearing how the song was written it is actually what I always imagined it was about.

I stumbled across The Tipping Point the other day and had to learn more about where this incredible music came from. I’ve always been a fan of TFF but was rather blown away by the depth of these songs. Interested to learning more about Roland I watched a couple of his appearances on podcasts. I finally found ‘that guy’ from the proverbial question ‘who would you most like to spend a couple days with’. He is brilliant.

Interesting and well spoken chap this Roland Orzabel. I got to see Tears For Fears in Toronto with Oleta Adams and the show was fabulous. Roland has an amazing voice. Woman In Chains with Roland and Oleta singing was mesmerizing. They actually inspired me to go for Primal Therapy and getting to meet Arthur Janov so it is sort of strange hearing his take on it now. It helped me immensely on understanding my feelings and it is a very personal thing. Pink Floyd The Wall is kind of in that vein but it doesn't give you a way out. When we are young we are vulnerable but as we get older we have choices and can choose our destiny instead of being a victim of our past is the only thing I would disagree with him on. I very much enjoy his music and this was a great and honest interview.

Just want to say firstly I love Tears for Fears and it's great to see them back. As a kid growing up and watching the Mad World video especially Roland's cool dancing, it just touched a nerve with me, Sowing the seeds, Pale Shelter, Head over Heals etc they were my youth. The 80s great time growing up, so much diversity in music, Mods, Ska, New Wave, Romantics, Indie. All shaped my life, and so did Tears for Fears. Thank you 👍🏾🙏🏾😀

Roland said in an interview that he stole the rhythm from Duran Duran. "Being an adolescent who’d never had any real responsibility other than at school, I was critical of [all that] so I wrote Mad World. A song came on the radio, it was Girls On Film by Duran Duran, and it had this rhythm that I stole - not that theirs was original!"
