When some band members leave and come back years later, they never agree to play music that was made in their absence. This is pure class and respect from Curt.

I really agree with you. It is something very difficult to accept in general but not for Curt. I respect him and can see how much Roland and Curt trust exists.

I would die to be at Portland zoo and see this performance I would have been peeing my pants screaming top of my lungs and crying 😭 love them and to sing this album with Curt back! I saw a super rare concert in Modesto I met them and was on stage with them. They played who killed tangerine

This crowd seriously has no idea of the greatness that is in front of them. If I was at this concert I'd never take my eyes off Roland, especially during THIS rarely performed song! Good grief what's wrong with those people?

dirtysouthlepluv ..Exactly.. I've never heard Roland do this song at any other shows with Curt. This was a surprise!!! And I've watched tons of their shows. If this was 2009, how did they age so much in 9 years??? They look pretty good here, but in shows in 2017 and 2018, they aged a lot, especially Curt to me... His eyes are sunken. Roland's aged too but he's more active on stage, smiling, doing funny faces and dancing. One thing for sure though, their guitar skills are still top notch and Roland is still belting out those vocals. I'm just scared they'll stop touring before I get to see them. I wish them health and long life..🙏

@@prettyyoungthingpyt5015 I think that you can blame years of living in Southern CA for aging Curt, LOL, I grew up in LA, that sun is unforgiving.
@michaelwolf64243 жыл бұрын
@@prettyyoungthingpyt5015 Aging doesn't guarantee the fountain of youth. When we're young, nothing seems impossible. To be a rock star idolized by the masses is the kiss of death in many aspects. It creates false aspirations that are simply not possible to keep. It's the life cycle. Every single band that kept on playing owes the Rolling Stones a debt of gratitude. The Stones kept on going long after hair started greying and lines on faces started showing. Growing old doesn't mean you lose the skills or the music. You just lose those adolescent looks. Not long after this show, Roland's wife passed away suddenly. I don't think they'll do much more touring period.

Daaaaaaaayam. I still marvel at how well he handles that song. I can't imagine it's that easy to hit the falsetto and sustain the long notes the way he does; especially 15 years removed from when he first performed it. Am impressed

@wannababrit I am happy to say that you need to eat your words! TFF actually has a good following now with a very diverse and much younger generation. It may not be on a mass scale but more grass roots type of discovery through social media. When his name is mentioned it is with respect and/or adoration. He is in demand but he remains elusive!

This song sounds so much like Porcupine Tree it's ridiculous. So it's little surprise to me when I saw that Steven Wilson remixed 2 of their early records and just did a Blu-Ray mix of their new one. Synchronicity!

Haha I saw the 1st show of the tour at Chateau St. Michelle winery in Washington state, and it surprised me that they played this and Break it Down Again, considering Curt had nothing to do with them. It was equally surprising that they sang Woman in Chains with one of their opening act guy. They pulled it off really well, although in my opinion, they should played more music that just an hour and a half, and maybe more than just Shout for the encore...

@Marluxia84 Nice review, but I am not surprised they played it as it is arguably one of Roland's most majestic songs...and Curt may even concur.

I've always wanted to see TFF live since "Songs From The Big Chair," but the area I live in is considered too small of a market for local promoters to book them. Plus my local government imposes one of the highest amusement taxes in the nation on concert ticket sales.

I worshipped this man's talent but saw him aging drastically; his voice has declined proportionately. I am glad I did not go to see him in Orlando in 2010; I could not bear to see him wither before my eyes. Sometimes our heroes and heroines should be left as they were, suspended in time. Appearing at the zoo - my God, what a comedown.

These guys turn 59 this year, everyone ages physically, but Damn they both still sound great, and Roland's voice is amazing after 40 years of tours, so many singers lose it after all that time, but Roland remains one of the great singers in rock IMO.

We all grow old you know. I remember listening to Roland and Curt in the '80's at the first height of their career and wishing I could hear them LIVE! I would even call in 'sick' from work to experience that!! 😍😉😆
