Elemental and RATKOS are hands down the two most underrated albums from TFF. They are without question some of Roland's best work.
@chevelle681002 жыл бұрын
Agree. Roland is a force of nature when it comes to music and the poetry that are his lyrics, and his musical talent is stellar.
@briand7946 Жыл бұрын
Yes and it’s a crime that they’re essentially hidden during their current live performances. Cold. Elemental. Goodnight song. Don’t drink the water. Me and my big ideas. Gods mistake. Brian Wilson said. Mr pessimist. In terms of their joint albums. Working hour. The hurting. Memories fade. Swords and knives.

Roland and Curt don't need to listen to or work with today's "experts", it should be the other way around. These lads have a track record that needs no explanation. Timeless and award-winning songs. Tears for Fears are one of the most important bands of the 80's.

This was incredible... Your work together has been so important to my life. I'm so glad you guys are doing another record. Everything you do has so much soul , emotion and melody. Seeds of Love was the soundtrack to my tour of north America back in 1989. I wore that cassette tape out literally while I was on the road drumming. Roland and Curt, thank you. You have touched so many people in this world with your gift. Roland, hearing about your childhood that was much like mine makes so much sense to me now. TFF music way back in the 80s really spoke to my heart. I could relate but didn't have a bit of the back story. Now I do. And I understand. Thank you for doing this interview Roland and Curt. And Roland thank you for being honest. You have really inspired me that no matter what life throws at you, the sun will shine again some day. The 3 songs I've heard thus far on this new album have been so beautiful and powerful. Hang tough.... Thank you....

How important is TFF in my life? I drove through Bath en route to Wales and my first thought after noticing how beautiful the city was, "So, this is where Tears For Fears is from." Been a fan since the start and I still contend The Hurting is their best album by far, but Woman in Chains is one of the best songs EVER. Seen them twice (Big Chair and Seeds of Love tours). Own all their albums and as soon as I heard this one was forthcoming, I instantly put it on my Amazon wish list. I can't wait!

I’m so sad that they don’t like their last few singles, because I love “I love you but I’m lost.” I think it’s a quite modern sounding Tears for Fears record and is probably one of my favorite songs they’ve ever done. Together- they’ve never made a “bad” album. ELAGE was brilliant. I have every confidence that The Topping Point will be another great album. I just we would have had more albums (even one) over the past 17 years. These guys are very deep and artist and sometimes when you put people like that in the same room, there can be creative tension (not to mention the personal stuff thrown in). Their concert in Orillia ON Canada- af Xasino Rama in Sept 2015 was one of the best from them that I’ve seen… Stick around a little while longer guys…

As a progressive rock and fusion fan...loving long songs. crazy time signatures, lush uses of mellotron, moogs, other synths...melody..jazz and classical influences. I can speak for many of us. Roughly only 2 pop bands unanimously command respect in these circles. The Beatles...and TFF. IM still waiting on a concept album. I'm sure Roland and Curt could create one based on their life long experiences. Hardships. Songs from the Big Chair seemed to almost fit the bill...but now these geniuses of melody and popular sensibilities have seen more... Id love to hear their story through a continuity of musical interpretation.

Many thanks to you for the video and most respectfully to ROLAND AND CURT. Roland’s analogy of the book ends/full circle is on a personal level for me since their music was a major part of the soundtrack of my life at that time during the 80’s. Now as we have grown older I once again look to my lyrical hero’s to assist in my emotional expression, realizing once again I’m not completely alone in this journey called life. Thank you both for making another album🤘 Can’t wait to see you June! (Kids are jealous but maybe I’ll get them some merch 😂)
