This is a fan fave for good reason. Tears for Fears has so much fantastic music that wasn't played on top 40. People think of them as an 80's pop band but they are far more than that.

I realised this in the late 80s. They're really brilliant.

This is why I learned the Alto Sax. Same bro. SAME. Fire. It’s PERFECT. This song is 37 years old and I was BLASTING it out all 16 speakers in the whole paycheck (foods) parking lot this evening. #windowsupvolumeup

Every time I tweak a piece of hifi kit, this is my go song, how it sounds governs whether I keep the upgrade. The sax keys clicking at the beginning is always the first hurdle. Brilliant been using it for decades, never lets me down.

When the sax kicks in at the beginning, it reminds me of a dark detective drama.

In my fave songs of all time, it hit me so hard when I was kid, probably plays a big role in why I am a self-employed adult. The voice, the feels, the saxxxxxxxx ❤

Definitely. An, absolute, masterpiece from an album, essentially, full of 'em!!!! 💜💜💜💜 -For a long time, i was a bigger fan of their debut [The Hurting (198?? 2? ...3??)], but ...no-one can deny a masterwork like: Songs From The Big Chair (I guess the fact that, growing-up in the '80s, you had to hear a good portion of it coming out of every car window, radio, TV, etc.; for YEARS; MIGHT have soured one on it, JUST a little! -Unfairly, i might add!!! 😜👍- 😏👍). This album is SO, densely, thoroughly excellent and, still, completely listenable and relevant, today ...that it is, simply, amazing!!!! 🧡 ...I, definitely, consider "The Working Hour" (arguably, of course), probably, 'the high point' of the album ...but, again: with so many delicious and well-crafted songs on it ...It, really, would be silly (and impossible) to single out JUST ONE! ...another track (which WAS released as a single, but did not get NEARLY the airplay or recognition in the U.S., or worldwide -I would argue- as it did back in the U.K.!) that deserves more attention from: Songs From the Big Chair is the excellent and driving: "Mother's Talk"!!!! 🧡🧡🧡🧡🤘🤘💜🧡💙 - Yes! Dooo eeeett!
